Vance Street Capital Acquires Syscom Instruments; Syscom Joins Terra Insights Platform

Vance Street Capital has completed the acquisition of Syscom Instruments, a Swiss designer and manufacturer of vibration and seismic monitoring equipment, and will fold the company into its Terra Insights geotechnical, structural and geospatial monitoring platform. Syscom — headquartered in Sainte-Croix, Switzerland — will join Terra Insights’ existing subsidiaries (RST Instruments, Measurand and 3vGeomatics) to expand the platform’s instrumentation, data monitoring and analysis capabilities; terms were not disclosed.

MercuryGate Acquires International Trade Systems (ITS)

Los Angeles-based private equity firm Vance Street Capital acquired Carmanah Technologies Corp., a Victoria, British Columbia designer and manufacturer of solar and AC-powered LED pedestrian and traffic safety systems. Carmanah will join Polara Enterprises to form Vance Street's traffic and pedestrian safety ITS platform as the firm pursues organic product development and complementary M&A; financial terms were not disclosed.

Intelligent Technical Solutions (ITS), a Tower Arch Capital portfolio company, acquired Granite Computer Solutions (Tempe, AZ), BrightWire Networks (Olympia, WA), Ox Power Computing Service (Phoenix, AZ), ProTechnical (Reno, NV), and A Leap Ahead IT (Sacramento, CA). The transactions, financed by Deerpath Capital, expand ITS’s managed IT, cloud and cybersecurity footprint across the Western United States as add-on acquisitions to its platform.
