Synapse ITS Acquires Oko Mobile App

Synapse ITS has acquired Oko, an AI-driven mobile navigation app for blind and visually impaired pedestrians, and will reinstate it as a free service. The acquisition strengthens Synapse ITS’s accessibility offerings—complementing Polara’s Accessible Pedestrian Signals (APS) and leveraging Oko’s computer-vision and location-based capabilities to improve intersection safety and navigation.
