Enoflex (Crealis Group) Acquires Pe.Di

Enoflex (now operating under the Crealis Group umbrella) has acquired 100% of Italian closure maker Pe.Di, signing the purchase agreement on September 17. The Di Crescenzo family exited the share capital but will remain active in the business; Pe.Di brings complementary high-quality crown caps and tamper-proof closures, two production sites (Ivrea, Italy and Pierry, France), ~40 employees and ~€9m revenue (2020).

Supercap (Crealis) Acquires Three Portuguese Closure Manufacturers

Supercap S.r.l., part of the Crealis group, has agreed to acquire 100% of three family-owned Portuguese closure manufacturers — Woodcap-Indústria de Cápsulas de Madeira, Manuel Firinho & Filhos, and Jesus Couto & Pereira — all based in Santa Maria de Feira (near Porto). The acquisitions create a new industrial hub in Portugal, add natural cork and wood capsule products to Crealis's BarTop offering, and are intended to expand the group's product range and export footprint.

Schur Flexibles Group Acquires Termoplast S.r.L.

Schur Flexibles Group has acquired 100% of Termoplast S.r.L., an Italian producer of 100% recyclable MDO-PE films and operator of an on-site recycling business. The acquisition (closed end of June 2021) will accelerate Schur Flexibles' expansion in the Italian market while preserving continuity as the selling family remains in management.

Supremex Acquires Forest Envelope Group

Supremex Inc. (TSX: SXP) has acquired the assets of Forest Envelope Group, a regional specialty envelope manufacturer located in Bolingbrook, Illinois, for approximately US$1.8 million on a cash-free, debt-free basis. Supremex says it will integrate Forest Envelope's activities into its nearby U.S. plants in Naperville and Chicago as a tuck-in to expand Midwest capacity and realize synergies across its U.S. envelope network.

Schur Flexibles Group Acquires Sidac SpA

Austria-based Schur Flexibles Group has acquired Sidac SpA, a Forlì-based Italian manufacturer of flexible packaging, for an undisclosed sum. The deal gives Schur access to Sidac’s Forlì production plant, solvent-recovery facility and a portfolio serving food, beverage, confectionery and animal feed markets; Sidac reported ~€34 million revenue and about 120 employees.

Bormioli Pharma Acquires GCL Pharma

Bormioli Pharma, a Triton Fund IV company, has acquired 100% of GCL Pharma (previously part of Guala Closures Group), a Vasto (Chieti), Italy-based manufacturer of rubber stoppers and aluminium closures for pharmaceutical applications. The business will be integrated into the Bormioli Pharma group as Bormioli Pharma Vasto Srl, expanding the buyer's pharmaceutical-closures and packaging capabilities as an add-on to its platform.
