O2 Investment Partners has made a significant investment in Flip Electronics, partnering with CEO Jason Murphy and management to support the company's next stage of growth; terms were not disclosed. Flip Electronics is an authorized specialty distributor of electronic components focused on end-of-life (EOL), obsolete, and hard-to-find parts, headquartered in Roswell, Georgia. Financial partners PNC Business Credit and Capital Southwest Corporation participated in the financing and Citizens M&A Advisory ran the sale process.

Eaton Acquires Resilient Power Systems

Eaton has completed the acquisition of Resilient Power Systems Inc., an Austin-based developer and manufacturer of solid-state transformer technology and ultra-compact EV charging depots. Eaton said the deal will help scale Resilient's next-generation medium-voltage solid-state transformer technology for markets including data centers, energy storage and EV charging.

Sage Sustainable Electronics Acquires Relectro

Sage Sustainable Electronics, a portfolio company majority‑owned by Closed Loop Partners, has acquired Relectro, a national electronics repair, refurbishment and logistics provider. The add-on acquisition — backed by a follow-on investment from Closed Loop Partners' buyout group — expands Sage's ITAD platform with depot repair capabilities from Relectro's 40,000 sq. ft. Telford, Pennsylvania facility and its capacity to repair >25,000 devices annually.

Renesas Electronics Acquires Transphorm, Inc.

Renesas Electronics Corporation completed its acquisition of Transphorm, Inc. on June 20, 2024, integrating Transphorm's gallium nitride (GaN) power semiconductor technology into Renesas' product portfolio. Renesas will immediately begin offering GaN-based power products and reference designs to expand its power solutions for markets including EVs, data centers, renewable energy and industrial applications.

AEM Acquires Central Semiconductor Corp.

AEM, a San Diego-based electronics platform and portfolio company of Industrial Growth Partners (IGP), has acquired Central Semiconductor Corp., a designer and manufacturer of discrete semiconductor solutions based in Hauppauge, New York. The deal expands AEM's product offering in discrete power conditioning components and is being executed as an add-on to AEM's existing platform to broaden capabilities and serve combined customers across industrial, medical, aerospace and commercial end markets.
