Trive Capital-Backed Thriving Brands Acquires Right Guard and Dry Idea from Henkel

Trive Capital has formed Thriving Brands LLC, a Cincinnati-based consumer products platform led by Craig Cappozzo and Rolando Collado, and completed the acquisition of the Right Guard and Dry Idea antiperspirant/deodorant brands from Henkel. The deal establishes Thriving Brands as a PE-backed platform focused on buying and rejuvenating personal care brands with a plan to pursue additional strategic acquisitions in adjacent categories and geographies.

Rinse Acquires Chicago-Based Dryv

The acquisition gives former Dryv customers access to Rinse’s broader service set — including subscription offerings and corporate laundry benefits — and strengthens Rinse’s national footprint.

Helen of Troy Completes Acquisition of Drybar Products

Phoenix Brands Acquires Colgate-Palmolive's North American Laundry Detergent Brands

Phoenix Brands LLC acquired Colgate-Palmolive Co.'s North American heavy‑duty laundry detergent brands (including Fab, Dynamo, Arctic Power, ABC, Cold Power and Fresh Start) and the U.S./Canada/Puerto Rico license for Ajax laundry detergents. The sale closed in 2006 and was part of Colgate‑Palmolive's decision to deemphasize detergents and focus on higher‑margin oral, personal and pet care businesses.

Lincolnshire Management Acquires Phoenix Brands LLC

Lincolnshire Management purchased Phoenix Brands LLC, a Stamford, Connecticut-based maker of laundry detergents (brands including Ajax, Dynamo and Fab), from Trilantic Capital Partners for about $145 million in late 2010. The deal included Phoenix’s brands, manufacturing and logistics assets; Phoenix had roughly $130 million in revenue and product distribution in about 40 countries at the time.
