Norwegian has entered into an agreement to acquire Nordic Leisure Travel Group (NLTG), creating an integrated Nordic travel group combining Norwegian/Widerøe’s air network with NLTG’s leisure travel brands and hotel operations. Tripadvisor, Inc. acquired Liberty TripAdvisor Holdings, Inc. via a merger in which a subsidiary of Tripadvisor merged with and into Liberty TripAdvisor, with Liberty TripAdvisor becoming an indirect wholly owned subsidiary of Tripadvisor. The deal closed on April 29, 2025 and included cash consideration of about $20 million for Liberty TripAdvisor common shares and about $42.5 million for its preferred stock, plus redemption/repayment of exchangeable debentures.

The transaction was financed in partnership with affiliates of Fairfax Financial (via Hamblin Watsa Investment Counsel Ltd.), and brings together more than 2,500 associates servicing over 460,000 owners and managing over 11,000 units across 13 states.
