Universal Engineering Sciences (UES) has acquired Rock Engineering & Testing Laboratory, LLC (RETL), a Texas-based geotechnical engineering and construction materials testing firm, to expand UES’s presence in Texas. RETL — with more than 85 staff across offices in Corpus Christi, San Antonio, and Austin/Round Rock — will continue to be led by co-presidents Roetta and Mark Rock while integrating into UES’s Texas operations.
