ENGIE Ineo Acquires Powerlines from Gilde Buy Out Partners

ENGIE Ineo has agreed to acquire Powerlines, a European full-service provider of electrical rail and high-voltage infrastructure, from funds advised by Gilde Buy Out Partners. Powerlines, headquartered near Vienna and employing more than 1,000 people, will join ENGIE Ineo to create an international platform for transport infrastructure projects and offer turnkey energy and rail electrification solutions.

Custom Air Conditioning Acquires Power Plus Electric Ltd. and I.C.R. Air Inc.

CAI Capital Partners’ portfolio company Custom Air Conditioning Ltd. has acquired Power Plus Electric Ltd. (Maple Ridge, BC) and certain assets of I.C.R. Air Inc. (Kamloops, BC). The deals expand CustomAir’s electrical capabilities and strengthen its regional HVAC footprint in the Thompson region, positioning the company to capture demand from decarbonization and electrification initiatives across Western Canada.

Aecon Utilities Acquires Majority Stake in Xtreme Powerline Construction

Aecon Utilities Group Inc., a subsidiary of Aecon Group Inc., has acquired a majority interest in Xtreme Powerline Construction for a base purchase price of approximately US$73 million. The acquisition expands Aecon Utilities' U.S. electrical distribution capabilities and footprint — Xtreme, founded in 2007 and headquartered in Port Huron, Michigan, has ~300 employees and long-standing relationships with utility clients including DTE Energy.

OMERS Private Equity Acquires Network Plus from Livingbridge and Management

OMERS Private Equity has agreed to acquire Network Plus, a leading UK utility and infrastructure repair and maintenance provider, from management shareholders and Livingbridge. Network Plus is headquartered in Worsley, Greater Manchester, employs over 5,000 people across 85 regional offices and depots, and OMERS intends to support the company's growth, bolt-on M&A and role in energy transition and decarbonisation.

Bentley Systems Acquires Power Line Systems from TA Associates for ~$700M

Bentley Systems agreed to acquire Power Line Systems, a Madison, Wisconsin–headquartered leader in transmission-line engineering software, from private equity firm TA Associates for approximately $700 million. The acquisition expands Bentley's grid integration and digital twin offerings by adding transmission-grade PLS products to its portfolio and will operate within Bentley's new Grid Integration Group upon closing.

Hillcore Group Acquires Midlite Construction Ltd.
