Serve Robotics Acquires Vayu Robotics

Serve Robotics has acquired Vayu Robotics, a Palo Alto-based developer of urban robot navigation using large-scale AI models. The stock-and-milestone-based deal brings Vayu's AI foundation models and engineering team into Serve to accelerate navigation capabilities, improve safety and simulation-driven training, and expand Serve's autonomous delivery product into new markets and use cases.

The deal adds VTOL aircraft, autopilot software and expanded capabilities to Alpine 4's aerospace holdings (complementing Impossible Aerospace) and is intended to accelerate medical delivery, infrastructure inspection and other commercial UAV opportunities; Vayu CEO Daniel Pepper will remain in place.
