Deutsche Börse Acquires Axioma and Partners with General Atlantic to Create Analytics and Index Business

Deutsche Börse agreed to acquire Axioma for US$850 million and will combine Axioma with its STOXX and DAX index businesses into a new company valued alongside the index business at about €2.6 billion. General Atlantic will be a minority investor (investing ~US$715 million) in the new company; the combined business will be led by Axioma CEO Sebastian Ceria and is expected to capture synergies of ~€30 million.
