Houston-based private equity firm Voyager Interests has acquired Aegion Coating Services (ACS) from Aegion Corporation. ACS, a global leader in field joint pipeline coating using proprietary robotic tools and employing 300+ staff, will be backed by Voyager to pursue growth and expanded service capabilities; financial terms were not disclosed.

Rod and Tubing Services (RTS) completed a merger with Certus Energy Solutions to form a combined tubular inspection, integrity and rental services platform serving major U.S. oil plays. The transaction brings together RTS's Hawkeye DMS analytics and Certus's drill-pipe inspection, thread technologies and rental capabilities; Lime Rock Partners and Amberjack Capital Partners remain shareholders of the combined business.

Tiger Infrastructure Partners Acquires International Aerospace Coatings and Eirtech Aviation Services from Vance Street Capital

OEG Acquires Trinity Rental Services

OEG has acquired Trinity Rental Services (TRS), a Lafayette, Louisiana-based provider of offshore container rentals and integrity services, adding ~5,600 CCUs and ~80 employees to OEG’s US operations. The deal expands OEG’s Gulf of America fleet and capabilities—including API inspection services—and is the first material acquisition by OEG following its recent purchase by Apollo.

Tecta America Corporation Acquires J Reynolds & Co., Inc.

Tecta America Corporation, a portfolio company of Altas Partners, acquired J Reynolds & Co., Inc., a commercial roofing and waterproofing contractor based in Saginaw, Texas; the transaction closed on December 31, 2020. Kratos Capital advised J Reynolds on the sale as J Reynolds becomes part of Tecta’s national platform to expand its commercial roofing and waterproofing capabilities and geographic reach.

VAG (AURELIUS portfolio) Acquires RTS (Brazil)

VAG, a portfolio company of AURELIUS Equity Opportunities, completed the acquisition of RTS, a Guarulhos-based Brazilian manufacturer of valve solutions. The add-on deal strengthens VAG's product portfolio and expands its presence in Brazil and other Latin American markets to better serve water treatment, wastewater and energy customers.
