Electrical Services Acquisitions in Massachusetts

Broad Sky Partners, a New York-based private equity firm, has acquired Commonwealth Electrical Technologies (CET), an electrical contractor and energy solutions provider headquartered in Worcester, Massachusetts. The investment will support CET’s growth plans, including geographic expansion, expanded service offerings (solar, EV charging, energy efficiency) and strategic M&A, while backing investment in recruitment and training.

Pavion Corp., a PE-backed provider of fire, safety, security and critical communications integration, has acquired Norwell, Massachusetts–based Signet, a 50-year systems integrator serving healthcare, transportation and government customers. The add-on expands Pavion's New England footprint and enhances its healthcare critical communications, security and audiovisual capabilities.

Pavion (formerly Corbett Technology Solutions), a Wind Point Partners–backed provider of fire, safety, security and critical communications integration solutions, has acquired K&J Integrated Systems. The add-on expands Pavion's low-voltage installation and support capabilities and geographic coverage in the Northeast U.S., strengthening service to commercial, distribution and higher-education customers.

Orion Energy Systems (Orion Lighting) has acquired Voltrek, LLC, a Massachusetts-based provider of turnkey EV charging station solutions, installation and maintenance services. Voltrek generated approximately $4.8M in 2021 revenue, manages 3,500+ charging ports, and will operate as an independent brand within Orion to enable cross-selling of EV charging services alongside Orion's LED lighting and electrical maintenance offerings.

Eaglestone, LLC, a portfolio company of Aterian Investment Partners, has acquired Commonwealth Electrical Technologies (CET) of Worcester, Massachusetts. Capstone Partners advised CET on the transaction; terms were not disclosed. The acquisition expands Eaglestone's MEP capabilities and Northeast commercial relationships, adding CET's expertise in electrical contracting, solar, energy-efficiency and EV charging services.

Cross-Fire & Security Co., a life-safety platform backed by AE Industrial Partners, acquired NISCO, Inc. (Northeast Integrated Systems and Northeast Fire Systems), a provider of fire alarm and life safety solutions in Massachusetts and New Hampshire. The transaction is an add-on to Cross-Fire’s platform to expand capabilities and scale in the Northeastern United States; financial terms were not disclosed.
