Electrical Services Acquisitions in Michigan

Platte River Equity, a Denver-based private equity firm, has acquired Team UIS in partnership with the company's existing owners. Team UIS, founded in 1976, provides electrical testing, maintenance, SCADA and related field services to utilities, industrial, data center and infrastructure customers; Platte River said it will help scale the platform, expand capabilities and invest in training and operations.

Everon (formerly ADT Commercial) has acquired Riverside Integrated Systems, Inc., a Grand Rapids, Michigan-based security, fire and life-safety systems integrator. The add-on purchase expands Everon's geographic and service coverage in the Midwest and strengthens its fire and life-safety capabilities within its growing national platform.

Crete Mechanical Group of Tampa, Florida acquired a majority stake in an unnamed Michigan-based electrical contracting company founded in 2005. The partnership adds over 50 specialized employees to Crete's partner network and expands Crete's geographic footprint and service offerings into Michigan; terms were not disclosed.

Turn Key Installation, LLC of Grandville, Michigan has acquired J&J Electrical Services, Inc., a Muskegon-based electrical contracting company founded by Scott Janiga. The acquisition expands Turn Key's project-management capabilities by adding in-house electrical trade expertise and broadens its residential, commercial and industrial service reach across West Michigan.

RESA Power, LLC has acquired Power Plus Engineering Inc., a Wixom, Michigan–based firm providing diagnostics and maintenance for AC and DC electrical equipment. The acquisition expands RESA Power’s engineering and service capabilities in the Midwest, enhancing its offering to existing customers and targeted growth markets.
