Electrical Services Acquisitions in Texas

Pye-Barker Fire & Safety has acquired Texas Homeland Security & Sound, expanding Pye-Barker’s fire protection and security footprint across West Texas. The acquisition adds security, access control, video surveillance and fire alarm installation, service and monitoring capabilities—supporting Pye-Barker's goal of offering full fire code compliance to additional Texas communities.

The Perfect Light, a Farmers Branch, Texas-based outdoor lighting company and portfolio company of Argonne Capital Group, has acquired Premier Lighting Enterprises LLC, a Van Alstyne, Texas-based full-service lighting, Christmas décor and electrical contracting business. The add-on acquisition closed October 3, 2025 and is intended to expand The Perfect Light’s geographic reach and service capabilities across major Texas markets.

Premier DataCom, a Texas-based low-voltage contractor, emerged from Chapter 11 after Sundara Partners provided a debtor-in-possession loan and acquired a majority ownership stake. Company president Ryan Willis will remain in leadership with partial ownership as Sundara provides capital and turnaround support to position PDC for growth serving data centers, commercial, municipal, and multifamily clients across Central Texas.

The Cook & Boardman Group LLC acquired substantially all assets of Hohenberger, Inc. d/b/a CSI, a low-voltage integration and security systems integrator headquartered in Lubbock, Texas. The acquisition, which continues Cook & Boardman’s roll-up strategy under majority owner Platinum Equity, expands the company’s Division 27 & 28 capabilities and geographic presence in West Texas and New Mexico.

Sciens Building Solutions, a Carlyle-backed fire and life safety platform based in San Francisco, has acquired Bulverde- (San Antonio-) based J.W. Dielmann, a commercial fire-life safety services company founded in 1995. The add-on expands Sciens' presence in south Texas and will integrate J.W. Dielmann's capabilities with Sciens' San Antonio operations to deepen service offerings and resources for local customers.

Canter Power Systems, a Generac Power Premier Pro dealer backed by Rotunda Capital Partners, has acquired Grasten Power Technologies, a Houston-area installer and service provider of residential standby generators. The add-on expands Canter's presence in Texas, adds thousands of service/maintenance contracts, and supports the platform's national growth strategy.

The Cook & Boardman Group LLC has acquired Brymer Communication Services, LLC (dba BryComm), a Hutto, Texas-based provider of design, installation and maintenance for infrastructure networks. Terms were not disclosed; BryComm will continue operating under its name and the deal represents Cook & Boardman's seventh acquisition under majority owner Platinum Equity.

Summit Fire & Security LLC, a subsidiary of SFP Holding, Inc., has acquired Island Fire and Safety Equipment, Inc. d/b/a A-1 Fire Equipment Co., effective April 9, 2024. The acquisition expands Summit’s presence in South Texas — customers will continue to be served from the Galveston/La Marque location while gaining access to Summit’s broader fire, life-safety and security offerings.

Sciens Building Solutions, a Carlyle-backed holding company focused on fire protection and security services, has acquired Haslet, Texas-based Christian Cable Group. The acquisition expands Sciens' footprint in North and Central Texas and enhances its life-safety installation and maintenance capabilities for multifamily, senior living, student housing, and light commercial customers.

Convergint has acquired Ballou Fire Systems, a Houston-based integrator of electronic life safety, security, and communications systems. The deal expands Convergint’s fire alarm and life safety capabilities and strengthens its presence in the Houston and South‑Central U.S. markets, with a focus on healthcare, education and commercial end markets.

SFP Holding, Inc. (Summit Companies) announced that its subsidiary Summit Fire & Security LLC completed the acquisition of Green Enterprises, LLC, which does business as Global Alarm Systems, effective March 14, 2023. The deal adds Global Alarm’s East Texas fire, security and life-safety capabilities (serving Tyler and Lufkin, TX) to Summit’s Texas platform, expanding local service offerings and customer reach across education, multi-family and healthcare markets.

Sciens Building Solutions, a San Francisco-based platform backed by The Carlyle Group, has acquired San Antonio, Texas-based Fire Alarm Control Systems, Inc. (FACS). The acquisition is an add-on to Sciens' fire detection and integrated solutions platform and begins the company's expansion into the Texas market.

Cook & Boardman Group LLC, a Littlejohn & Co.-backed specialty distributor and security integrator, has acquired San Antonio-based 3Sixty Integrated. The add-on expands Cook & Boardman's nationwide security integration capabilities; 3Sixty's CEO Will Duke will continue to lead the business and it will operate under the 3Sixty name.

Generational Equity advised Houston-based DA Mid South, a low-voltage security and electronics integrator, on its sale to a private investor (a husband-and-wife team). The transaction closed on September 9, 2021 and included the buyers also acquiring an audio-visual company in the same deal.

ADT Commercial acquired CLS Technology, Inc., a Katy, Texas-based security and fire-life-safety integrator, in a deal that closed on December 2, 2020. The acquisition expands ADT Commercial's commercial integration footprint and deepens its fire and life-safety capabilities in the Houston market; financial terms were not disclosed.
