Eximia Research, a Raleigh-based integrated clinical research network, has acquired Integrated Clinical Trial Services, Inc. (ICTS), a dedicated clinical research clinic in West Des Moines, Iowa. The acquisition expands Eximia’s Midwest footprint and increases local patient access to clinical trials across multiple therapeutic areas including pediatrics, neurology and dermatology.

Navigate, an employee engagement and wellbeing company based in West Des Moines, acquired Health Solutions, LLC of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, effective July 1, 2024. Health Solutions founder Dr. Jennifer Musick will lead a new Health Solutions Services business unit within Navigate as Vice President; the acquisition expands Navigate's clinical coaching and corporate-wellness capabilities and furthers its vertical integration strategy.

Cyprium Partners provided subordinated debt and minority common equity to OneroRx Inc., an integrated pharmacy services provider headquartered in West Des Moines, Iowa. The growth capital will support OneroRx’s acquisition-driven expansion across the Midwest—where the company operates roughly 65 locations and fills millions of prescriptions annually—and marks Cyprium’s 100th platform investment.

accūrō Solutions, a provider of medical bill processing technology and services, has acquired Splashlight Solutions, a West Des Moines-based workers' compensation bill review provider. All Splashlight employees joined accūrō, with Splashlight's CEO Lisa Gran becoming Chief Revenue Officer; the purchase price was not disclosed.

Element Materials Technology has acquired JMI Laboratories, a North Liberty, Iowa-based microbiology and molecular testing provider known for its SENTRY Antimicrobial Surveillance Program. The acquisition is an add-on to Element's life sciences buildout, expanding its pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical testing capabilities across North America and Europe.

Life Care Services (LCS) completed a planned recapitalization that brings Redwood Capital Investments in as a new capital partner while renewing ownership commitments from McCarthy Capital and LCS employee shareholders. The undisclosed transaction provides evergreen capital to support LCS's long-term strategic plan to grow real estate ownership, strengthen infrastructure and third-party management capabilities, and invest in its workforce and growth initiatives.

Pack4U, a Mountain View–based digital healthcare company, has acquired CHC Health, a virtual pharmacist services provider that operates a network of 400+ clinical pharmacists and executes millions of patient outreaches annually. The acquisition adds clinical pharmacy scale and virtual monitoring capabilities to Pack4U’s medication-adherence and remote-care platform to personalize care and improve outcomes.

Epiphany Dermatology announced a partnership with Infinity Skin Care, founded by Dr. Kimberly Schulz, to expand its presence in the Cedar Rapids–Iowa City market. The agreement brings Infinity Skin Care into Epiphany's provider network and gives the practice additional operational, marketing, HR, finance and IT support.

Epiphany Dermatology announced a partnership with Dermatology Associates, LLP to expand its presence in Coralville, Iowa; the practice’s two physicians, Dr. Thomas Boysen and Dr. David Boysen, joined Epiphany. CORDENTAL Group Management, a portfolio company of NMS Capital, has acquired AppleWhite Dental (AppleWhite Dental Partners) from Tonka Bay Equity Partners; terms were not disclosed. Headquartered in Dubuque, Iowa, AppleWhite supports over 150 dentists and hygienists across 35 offices in Iowa, Wisconsin, Illinois and Minnesota, and the deal expands CORDENTAL's Midwest footprint and scale as an add-on to its platform.

Epiphany Dermatology has expanded into Iowa through a partnership with Iowa Dermatology, Inc., a Pella-based dermatology practice founded by Dr. Jennifer Palmer. Under the agreement, Iowa Derm's providers and support staff have joined Epiphany to gain operational resources and support while Epiphany grows its multi-state provider network.
