Insurance Acquisitions in Arkansas

Inszone Insurance Services, a Sacramento-based national insurance brokerage, has acquired Mark V. Williamson Co., Inc. (Williamson Insurance), an independent agency based in Little Rock, Arkansas. The deal expands Inszone’s presence in Arkansas and provides Williamson Insurance with additional resources, technology and carrier relationships while preserving the local team.

Inszone Insurance Services, a Sacramento-based national insurance brokerage, has acquired Arkansas Best Insurance Agency, Inc., a long-standing independent agency based in Hot Springs, Arkansas. The acquisition expands Inszone's geographic footprint into Arkansas while keeping the acquired agency's Hot Springs and Hot Springs Village offices open to continue serving local commercial and personal lines clients.

Patriot Growth Insurance Services has welcomed The Cashion Company, a specialist in construction insurance and surety bonding with offices in Little Rock and Fayetteville, Arkansas, as a partner agency. The Cashion principals will remain involved while Patriot — backed by GI Partners and Summit Partners — provides resources to support growth and expand capabilities in construction risk management and surety solutions.

Hub International Limited acquired the assets of Hadfield Agency, Inc., an independent multi-line insurance agency headquartered in Little Rock, Arkansas. The Hadfield team will join HUB Mid-America as Hadfield Agency, a Hub International company; terms were not disclosed and Hub said the deal supports its growth strategy in Arkansas.

Integrity Marketing Group has acquired MediSource, an independent marketing organization (IMO) based in Little Rock, Arkansas. MediSource's leadership, including President RD Roulston, will join Integrity as part of the partnership to expand Integrity's Medicare distribution capabilities and provide MediSource access to Integrity's technology and shared services.

Relation Insurance Services, a PE-backed national insurance brokerage, acquired the assets of Dixon Insurance Services, a Lake City, Arkansas-based multi-line P&C agency focused on farm and agriculture. Dixon will fold into Relation's Central Region to expand Relation's presence in Arkansas and add agricultural insurance expertise.

Sunstar Insurance Group has partnered with/acquired Campbell & Company Insurance, adding the Camden-based agency to its Arkansas footprint. Jim Black will join the Sunstar Arkansas executive team and the deal expands Sunstar Arkansas to 87 employees across 12 locations; financial terms were not disclosed.

Relation Insurance Services, a PE-backed national insurance brokerage, has acquired the assets of The McKinney Group (dba McGhee Insurance Northwest Arkansas), a Rogers, Arkansas-based personal and commercial lines agency led by Brandi McKinney. The acquisition expands Relation's Central Region into Arkansas and brings McGhee's personal and commercial line clients into Relation's family of agencies; terms were not disclosed.

World Insurance Associates LLC (WIA), a Top 100 insurance brokerage, acquired Corporate Risk Services LLC and Midwest Risk Management Services, Inc., both based in Rogers, Arkansas, effective February 1, 2021. Terms were not disclosed; the acquired firms specialize in workers' compensation and commercial insurance, and will be integrated into WIA's national brokerage platform to expand its regional footprint and capabilities.

Simmons Bank has sold its property and casualty (P&C) insurance business to Sunstar Insurance Group LLC. The deal transfers Simmons' P&C accounts to Memphis-based Sunstar, expanding Sunstar's footprint in Arkansas and Tennessee while Simmons retains life, health and employee benefits services within its wealth management business.
