Medical Devices Acquisitions in Oregon

JLL Partners has acquired Parks Medical Electronics and merged the business with Vascular Technology to create a vascular diagnostics and robotics-focused medical device platform. The combination brings Parks Medical's Doppler ultrasound product line together with Vascular Technology's intraoperative systems to expand the combined company's product portfolio and clinical reach across hospital, clinic, operating room, and veterinary markets.

Tri-Tech Forensics, Inc. has acquired SAM Medical, a Portland-area developer and manufacturer of trauma care devices such as the SAM Splint and tourniquets. The deal expands Tri-Tech's emergency medical product portfolio and continues SAM Medical's product development under its existing leadership team and founders acting as brand ambassadors.

Agilent Technologies has acquired e-MSion, the early-stage company behind the ExD cell electron capture dissociation (ECD) technology for benchtop mass spectrometers. The purchase brings e-MSion's ExD cell and associated tools into Agilent's life-sciences instrument portfolio to expand biopharma characterization capabilities and make ECD accessible to a broader set of labs.

DCN Dx has completed its acquisition of Biomed Diagnostics, Inc., a microbiological testing products company based in White City, Oregon. The deal expands DCN Dx's point-of-use testing and sampling capabilities across human, veterinary, food safety and environmental markets by adding Biomed's InPouch/InTray culture and transport product lines.

ERT, a global clinical endpoints data and technology company, has acquired APDM Wearable Technologies, a provider of medical-grade wearable sensors and digital biomarkers. The deal integrates APDM's Opal sensors and analytics with ERT's eCOA and clinical data platforms to expand objective endpoint measurement in movement disorder and CNS trials; financial terms were not disclosed.

Arlington Capital Partners completed a majority growth investment in Riverpoint Medical, a Portland-based developer and manufacturer of advanced biomedical textile medical devices. The investment will support Riverpoint's plans to expand manufacturing capacity, accelerate product development across wound closure, sports medicine and animal health markets, and scale the business with existing management retaining material ownership.
