Ahlstrom Oyj has acquired EBF (Eastern Business Forms), a Greenville, South Carolina–based manufacturer of 903 specimen collection cards and related newborn screening devices. The purchase brings EBF into Ahlstrom’s Filtration and Life Sciences division, strengthening Ahlstrom’s converting and card-manufacturing capabilities for diagnostic and life-science markets.
DirectMed Imaging has acquired a majority of Richardson Electronics' Richardson Healthcare reportable segment, including the Fort Mill, South Carolina operation, in a transaction that closed January 24, 2025. Richardson Electronics will consolidate remaining healthcare assets into its PMT segment and enter a 10-year global supply agreement with DirectMed for repaired Siemens CT X-ray tubes while DirectMed expands its CT tube manufacturing, parts inventory and training capabilities.
EQT Private Equity (via its EQT X fund) has entered into an agreement to acquire Zeus Company, Inc., a global leader in advanced polymer components for medical devices, from the Tourville family. EQT plans to support Zeus with investments in production capacity, R&D, and operational improvements to accelerate growth in minimally invasive medical device markets.
Probo Medical, a provider of diagnostic imaging equipment and services backed by Avista Capital Partners, has acquired Ultra Select Medical, a Charleston-based provider of ultrasound sales, service, maintenance, repair and training. Terms were not disclosed; the deal expands Probo's ultrasound distribution, service and OEM partnership capabilities across the U.S.
CNL Strategic Capital acquired a majority equity stake in TacMed Solutions, a South Carolina–based designer and manufacturer of traumatic injury products and medical simulation training solutions. Guardian Capital Partners exited its position in TacMed as part of the transaction; TacMed's founder and executive team retain the remaining equity.
Graham Partners has acquired Rhythmlink International, a Columbia, South Carolina-based designer and manufacturer of single-use neurodiagnostic electrodes, from New Heritage Capital. Acumen Health Holdings has acquired Eye Love, LLC, a maker of ocular health products including lid and lash cleansers, heated eye masks, and hypochlorous solutions. The acquisition brings Eye Love into Acumen's portfolio to expand its ocular product offerings and distribute Eye Love products through Acumen's clinician-focused, subscription-based platform.

Henry Schein, Inc. has completed the acquisition of North American Rescue (NAR) from equity holders led by Blue Wolf Capital Partners. NAR, a Greer, South Carolina-based maker of casualty care and emergency medical products, will be integrated into Henry Schein Medical while NAR founder Bob Castellani remains CEO.
