Real Estate Acquisitions in Massachusetts

BlueWater Marinas, backed by Bain Capital Real Estate, has acquired Bayside Marine, a full-service marina in Duxbury, Massachusetts. The Kent family will remain in place to oversee day-to-day operations as the acquisition expands BlueWater/Bain's portfolio of East Coast marina properties.

Hudson Valley Property Group (HVPG) acquired two adjacent affordable multifamily properties — Boston Bay and Hope Bay — in the Dorchester neighborhood of Boston, Massachusetts, adding 133 family units to its New England portfolio. The approximately $52.5 million preservation project is financed with a Fannie Mae loan provided by KeyBank and includes roughly $6.4 million in planned renovations and HUD Project-Based Section 8 contracts that preserve affordability for decades.

Lincoln Property Company has acquired BL Mosher Consulting, a Topsfield, Massachusetts-based construction project management team led by founder Barry Mosher, and integrated the team into Lincoln’s Corporate Advisory & Solutions (CAS) East division. The deal expands Lincoln’s project management capabilities and strengthens its CAS platform to better serve corporate occupiers across the U.S. and Canada.

Concert Golf Partners has acquired The Club at New Seabury, a 300-acre, 36-hole oceanfront private golf and beach club in Mashpee, Massachusetts, from owner IE Homes, Clubs & Resorts. The purchase — Concert's largest to date — expands its nationwide portfolio to 39 premier private clubs; Concert plans annual capital reinvestment and continuity support for members and staff.

William Raveis Real Estate, Mortgage & Insurance has acquired Jordan Real Estate, a boutique Nantucket brokerage led by co-owners Gloria Grimshaw and David Callahan. The acquisition expands William Raveis' presence and agent network on Nantucket, adding a long-established luxury and vacation-home specialist to its integrated real estate, mortgage, and insurance platform.

Latch, Inc. (soon to be Door.com) launched Door Property Management, LLC and acquired the property management business of The Broadway Company to operate a small portfolio of multifamily units in the Greater Boston area. The move gives Latch hands-on property management capabilities to vertically integrate its hardware and software products, accelerate product development, and drive NOI improvements for owners.

Newmark Group, Inc. acquired McCall & Almy, Inc., a Boston-based tenant representation and real estate advisory firm, in a deal that closed April 1, 2022. The acquisition brings McCall & Almy's ~20 professionals and deep tenant-representation expertise into Newmark's platform to expand the firm's advisory and occupier services in the Boston market.

Savills has acquired T3 Advisors, a U.S.-based real estate and workplace solutions advisory firm that serves life sciences and technology companies. The acquisition expands Savills' capabilities in life sciences and technology tenant representation and strengthens its North American footprint.
