Software Acquisitions in Idaho

Onebrief, a Honolulu-based military planning and command software company, closed a $200 million Series D at a $2.15 billion post-money valuation and used the financing to acquire Battle Road Digital. The acquisition adds wargaming, simulation and real-time operational decision-support capabilities to Onebrief's platform as it expands its AI-driven simulation and operational tooling for defense customers.

Katabat, a global provider of cloud-based debt collection software, has acquired Simplicity Collection Software of Idaho Falls, Idaho, to broaden its product coverage and serve both first- and third-party clients. The deal (terms undisclosed) expands Katabat's footprint into small-to-medium third-party collection agencies, healthcare providers and legal recovery markets and was supported by Katabat's PE backers' strategic endorsement.

Cordance has completed the acquisition of LabStats, a higher-education IT monitoring software provider based in Idaho Falls, Idaho. The deal positions LabStats to leverage Cordance's operational experience and resources to scale its product and expand within the higher education market.

N. Harris Computer Corporation (Harris), an operating group of Constellation Software Inc., has acquired Agency Software, Inc. (ASI), a property & casualty (P&C) insurance agency management software vendor. The acquisition brings ASI’s library of insurance products and 20,000+ agency installations into Harris’s portfolio and represents Harris’s first entry into the insurance vertical.

TransImpact, a supply chain technology and services company based in Emerald Isle, North Carolina, has acquired Avercast LLC, a Rigby, Idaho–based provider of inventory forecasting, demand planning, and inventory optimization software. The deal adds seven forecasting products and Avercast's algorithmic forecasting and analytics capabilities to TransImpact's platform, expanding its technology footprint and international presence.

Katabat, a Wilmington-based debt management software provider, has acquired Simplicity Collection Software of Idaho Falls, Idaho to broaden its suite of debt collection products and accelerate reach into small-to-medium collection agencies, health care providers and law firms. Terms were not disclosed; the deal expands Katabat's product coverage and leverages Simplicity's SimplicityCollect platform to serve additional first- and third-party clients.

First American Financial Corporation has signed an agreement to acquire Docutech, a provider of document, eClose and fulfillment technology for the mortgage industry. The acquisition (Docutech was a Serent Capital portfolio company) expands First American’s digital mortgage and settlement capabilities and will keep Docutech’s management team, led by CEO Amy Brandt, in place.

Zywave, an insurance technology company based in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, has acquired Idaho-based rating engine RateFactory. RateFactory's employees and customers will join Zywave as the company integrates the rating/quoting engine to enhance Zywave's small-group quoting and carrier-direct quoting capabilities; financial terms were not disclosed.

Red River Software, a Volaris Group company, has acquired Triple E Technologies, integrating Triple E’s OneTouch fuel and convenience-store software into Red River’s offering. The acquisition expands Red River’s capabilities in secure payment processing, PCI/EMV transactions, fuel control and inventory management for petroleum and C‑store customers across the United States.
