Acquisitions in Colorado in 2018

WebBank has agreed to acquire National Partners PFco, a Denver-based premium finance company and subsidiary of MLF Financial Group, in a deal expected to close in early 2019 pending regulatory approval. The acquisition gives WebBank its first entry into insurance premium finance, expanding its product capabilities and access to independent insurance agents, while National Partners will remain operationally in place as a WebBank subsidiary.

Excelitas Technologies Corp. has completed the acquisition of Research Electro Optics (REO), a Boulder, Colorado-based manufacturer of high-precision optical components, thin-film coatings, optical subassemblies and HeNe lasers. The deal expands Excelitas' optics and photonics manufacturing capabilities and aims to provide OEM customers and defense prime contractors with a broader, single-source portfolio of high-performance illumination, optical and detection solutions.

RESA Power, a portfolio company of Blue Sea Capital, has acquired Grounded Technologies, Inc. (GTI), a Parker, Colorado-based provider of NETA-certified commissioning, acceptance testing, and maintenance services for medium- to high-voltage power equipment. The deal expands RESA Power’s service footprint into the Denver metro area; financial terms were not disclosed.

Allegion plc has agreed to acquire Boulder, Colorado-based access control company ISONAS; the deal is expected to close early in the third quarter of 2018, subject to customary conditions. ISONAS, which generated approximately $6 million in net sales in 2017, will operate within Allegion's Americas region and expand Allegion's portfolio of IP-based access control technologies.

RS&H, an employee-owned architecture, engineering and consulting firm based in Jacksonville, Florida, has acquired Tsiouvaras Simmons Holderness (TSH), a Colorado-based transportation engineering and consulting firm. The acquisition gives RS&H a substantial presence in the Colorado market and augments its transportation, construction management and infrastructure capabilities in the region.

Intradeco, a global vertical-manufacturing apparel company, has acquired Headsweats, a Boulder-based leader in performance headwear. The deal positions Headsweats to expand into fully sublimated performance tees and running singlets while leveraging Intradeco's vertical integration and sustainable manufacturing capabilities to increase production and lower minimums.

Noverra (Noverra Group of Companies) acquired Troy Forming Concrete, a Colorado-based concrete forming and foundation contractor, in a transaction that closed in summer 2018. The deal provided founder Troy Lynn with a phased transition and ongoing participation in future earnings while Noverra supported development of an internal successor (Noah Weiler) who later became President.
