Digital Media Solutions (DMS) has acquired Fosina Marketing Group, a Danbury, Connecticut-based subscription and direct-to-consumer marketing firm. The deal brings Fosina's subscription marketing expertise and team (including founder Jim Fosina) into DMS's digital agency to expand its capabilities serving consumer-facing e-commerce and subscription brands.

Digital Room, a portfolio company of H.I.G. Capital, has acquired Logo Sportswear, an e-commerce provider of custom promotional apparel and uniforms based in Wallingford, Connecticut. The acquisition expands Digital Room's range of customized apparel and promotional products; H.I.G. supported the deal and BNP Paribas provided debt financing.

TerraNova Partners LP has acquired York Analytical Laboratories, Inc., a regional environmental testing laboratory serving the NY/NJ/CT tri-state area. The private equity firm said the investment will provide financial and operational resources to accelerate growth, expand service offerings and support existing client relationships.

Central Wire Industries (CWI), a privately held specialty alloy wire and cable manufacturer, has acquired Loos & Co. Inc., a second-generation family-owned U.S. manufacturer of specialty small-diameter wire, wire rope, cable assemblies and hardware. Loos — with manufacturing operations in Pomfret, Connecticut and Naples, Florida — will join CWI to broaden and diversify CWI's product offerings and end markets. Transaction terms were not disclosed; Carter Morse & Mathias served as exclusive financial advisor to Loos.

EXLService Holdings, Inc. (EXL) completed the acquisition of SCIO Health Analytics (SCIOInspire) to deepen its healthcare analytics and payment-integrity capabilities. The deal brings SCIO’s analytics team and delivery center (including a large operations presence in Chennai) into EXL’s health analytics business and expands EXL’s footprint across payers, providers and life sciences.

Emerson has completed the acquisition of Cooper-Atkins, a manufacturer of temperature management and environmental measurement devices and wireless monitoring solutions. The deal expands Emerson's cold chain technology portfolio and complements its ProAct Services and Cargo Solutions offerings; Cooper-Atkins is headquartered in Middlefield, Connecticut and has approximately 150 employees.

Renovus Capital Partners, an education- and human-capital-focused private equity firm, acquired a controlling interest in Continuing Education Alliance, LLC and Practicing Clinicians Exchange (PCE). The deal makes PCE the fifth platform company in Renovus Capital Partners II and positions the businesses for organic growth and strategic acquisitions to expand continuing medical education for nurse practitioners and physician assistants.
