Acquisitions in Vermont in 2023

IDEX Corporation agreed to acquire STC Material Solutions, an advanced materials and technical ceramics manufacturer headquartered in St. Albans, Vermont, from Artemis. The transaction (cash consideration of $206 million, subject to adjustments) expands IDEX's material science and manufacturing capabilities and will include STC in IDEX's Health & Science Technologies segment.

Lamoille Health Partners has entered into an agreement to acquire Family Practice Associates, a primary care practice located in Cambridge, Vermont. The acquisition expands Lamoille Health Partners' footprint in Lamoille County and will rebrand the practice as Lamoille Health Family Medicine Cambridge upon closing (expected October 2023).

Spectris plc has signed a purchase agreement to acquire MicroStrain Sensing Systems Business for $37.6 million. MicroStrain, based in Williston, Vermont, reported unaudited revenue of $15.4 million for the year ended June 2022 and will be integrated into Spectris Dynamics to strengthen Spectris' sensor offering and North American presence; the deal is expected to close in the third quarter subject to regulatory approval.

Trinity Hunt Partners, a Dallas-based private equity firm, made a majority investment in Alliance Group, a New England commercial HVAC services provider, to launch a national commercial HVAC platform. Trinity Hunt will support Alliance's growth and scale the business through strategic add-on acquisitions and organic initiatives while Steve Knowles will lead the platform as CEO.

One80 Intermediaries, a Boston-based specialty insurance broker, has acquired Manchester Specialty Programs, a national insurance underwriting and program management firm focused on home care, medical staffing, allied health, and human/social services. The acquisition expands One80’s allied health insurance capabilities and integrates Manchester Specialty’s underwriting, product development, and marketing team into One80’s platform; terms were not disclosed.

Wilson Allen has acquired the Intapp-solutions practice group of Aurora North, adding a 27-member team and specialist methodologies to its Technology Services group. The move expands Wilson Allen's Intapp OnePlace implementation and optimization capabilities across North America and the UK while Aurora North retains its IP software and PracticeLink business.

The Facilities Group, a PE-backed facilities maintenance platform backed by Greenbriar Equity Group and Revolent Capital Solutions, has added JaniTech, a regional janitorial and facility maintenance provider headquartered in Colchester, Vermont. The deal brings JaniTech into TFG’s family of regional providers to expand the platform’s footprint in Vermont and the broader New England market and to provide additional resources and career growth opportunities for JaniTech employees.
