Acquisitions in Wyoming in 2025

Balance, Canada’s oldest and largest digital asset custodian, has acquired Digital Value Transfer Rails Inc. (DVTR), a Wyoming-based, multi-state licensed digital asset custodian and money transmitter. The deal, completed December 11, turns DVTR into a wholly owned subsidiary and gives Balance immediate regulatory reach across most U.S. states, adding trading, staking and money-transmission capabilities to its institutional offering.

Fundamental Advisors has acquired Trans Aero Ltd, a Cheyenne-based operator of utility, fire suppression and MedEvac helicopter services, adding a fleet of 11 helicopters to the firm's public service helicopter strategy. Terms were not disclosed; the deal is the second acquisition under Fundamental's helicopter investment strategy following an earlier investment in HeloAir and is intended to expand the firm's capability to provide essential aviation services to municipal, government and hospital clients across the United States.

Caretech has acquired Quality Home Health Care, a Wyoming-based home care provider, expanding Caretech's footprint into Wyoming while retaining Quality's local caregivers and leadership. The acquisition will integrate Caretech's technology and clinical resources to strengthen home- and skilled-care services across the state.

Alliance Technical Group has acquired Slipstream Environmental Services, a Sheridan, Wyoming-based specialist in combustion source emissions testing for the oil & gas sector. Slipstream's ~45 employees and fleet of 23 mobile testing labs will integrate into Alliance's national network to expand combustion source testing capabilities and regulatory compliance services.

Castle Peak Holdings, the investment firm behind the Trailborn hospitality brand, has acquired Snow King Resort in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. The 203-room full-service resort will be renovated and repositioned as Trailborn Jackson Hole to expand Castle Peak's outdoor hospitality portfolio and enter the Jackson Hole market.

Star Equity Holdings, a diversified holding company based in Old Greenwich, Connecticut, has acquired Alliance Drilling Tools, LLC (ADT), a Wyoming- and Texas-based drilling equipment supply and repair business. The transaction transfers ownership of ADT — which operates facilities in Midland, Texas; Casper and Evanston, Wyoming; and Vernal, Utah — to Star as the company moves into its next phase of growth.
