Telecommunications Acquisitions in Wisconsin

Fourteen IP Group Ltd announced a merger with Clearly IP Inc to combine their cloud-based telephony, unified communications and AI offerings for the hospitality and enterprise markets. The deal expands Fourteen IP’s global footprint and product portfolio—bringing Clearly IP’s ComXchange, SIP trunking and hardware into Fourteen IP’s partner and geographic channels to accelerate AI and cloud product development and international growth.

Millennium, a Delavan, Wisconsin–based broadband solutions provider, has acquired DeBauche Communications Services to strengthen its engineering and design capabilities for fiber-optic network builds across the U.S. The acquisition adds DeBauche’s 16 years of outside-plant engineering and GIS experience in multiple states and is intended to accelerate Millennium’s fiber-to-the-home projects for local and regional providers.

Tahoe Network Infrastructure LLC, a Spokane-based fiber optic broadband investment company, acquired Wisconsin-based regional fiber and fixed wireless provider E-Vergent for $11.2 million. The deal was financed with $6.5 million of senior debt (arranged by Concentra Capital Group), a seller note and equity; Tahoe plans to invest an additional $10 million to expand E-Vergent's regional footprint and increase customer penetration.

Carlson Private Capital Partners (CPC) made a significant investment in Millennium, a Delavan, Wisconsin-based value-added distributor and service provider for broadband infrastructure; the transaction closed on November 30, 2021 and financial terms were not disclosed. CPC said the investment will accelerate Millennium’s growth and support expansion into new geographies and enhanced product and technology capabilities while partnering with founder/management.

NSI Industries, a Huntersville, North Carolina-based provider of electrical product solutions, has acquired TechLogix Networx, a Madison, Wisconsin fiber optic and collaboration technology manufacturer. The acquisition expands NSI's product portfolio—particularly its Platinum Tools brand—into fiber optic technologies to support distributors and customers transitioning from copper to fiber-based solutions.
