eLearning Brothers (ELB Learning) has acquired Origin Learning, a Chennai-based learning design and technology company, to bolster its learning solutions team and product development capacity. The deal — enabled by additional investment from RLG Capital and Trinity Investors in eLearning Brothers — expands ELB's global delivery footprint and headcount, while Origin's founders will remain with the business and join ELB's executive team.
eLearning Brothers acquired game-based learning provider The Game Agency to add The Training Arcade and gamification capabilities to its learning platform. The deal was supported by new equity from RLG Capital and Trinity Private Equity Group and a senior debt facility from KeyBank to fund the acquisition and further scale eLearning Brothers' product ecosystem.
RLG Capital and Trinity Investors led a $38 million recapitalization of learning-technology company eLearning Brothers, with co-investors HCAP Partners and Eagle Marsh Holdings and senior debt provided by KeyBank. The financing enables eLearning Brothers to simultaneously acquire Trivantis and Edulence (KnowledgeLink), combining authoring tools (Lectora), VR builder (CenarioVR), an LMS (KnowledgeLink) and content/licensing into an integrated corporate learning platform.
