Consumer Products Acquisitions in Wisconsin

Feit Electric has quietly acquired the Cree Lighting residential lamp portfolio (branded as "Cree Lighting Home") under a confidential agreement, taking ownership of the Cree name and trademarks for the North American residential market. The carve-out appears to have been completed without a formal public announcement; the residential business had previously been associated with private equity owner ADLT and the broader Cree Lighting organization.

Argosy Private Equity acquired a controlling interest in Mr. Splash Car Wash, a 6-site express car wash chain in the Greater Madison, Wisconsin area, with two additional development sites planned by the end of 2025. Argosy will partner with co-owners Jeff Joos and Tony Ruiz (who will remain significant owners) to professionalize operations, pursue acquisitions and new site development, and grow membership-driven revenues.

WellSpring Consumer Healthcare, a portfolio company of Avista Healthcare Partners, has acquired the vH essentials women's intimacy care OTC brand from Wisconsin Pharmacal Company. The add-on expands WellSpring's women's health franchise alongside FDS to drive scale and accelerate growth across retail and e-commerce channels; financial terms were not disclosed.

WILsquare Capital’s portfolio company TEK Holdings, LLC has acquired Arrow Companies, LLC (Arrow Sewing), a Wisconsin-based maker of sewing and quilting workstations, storage solutions and accessories. The add-on expands TEK Holdings’ quilting and crafting platform, adding complementary products and dealer/e‑commerce channels; terms were not disclosed.

AccuQuilt, a subsidiary of TekBrands (a WILsquare Capital portfolio company), acquired the brand, product line and key assets of June Tailor. The deal expands TekBrands' quilting and crafting platform by adding June Tailor's complementary tools, notions and sewing kits to AccuQuilt's product portfolio; terms were not disclosed.

Topspin Consumer Partners made a minority growth investment in SportPet, a Waukesha, Wisconsin–based designer and manufacturer of branded and private-label pet products. The founder and CEO Adam Kellogg remains a significant shareholder and will continue to lead the company; KeyBank provided a senior term loan and revolver to support the transaction.

Altacrest Capital LLC, a Dallas-based private equity firm focused on eCommerce consumer brands, has acquired a controlling interest in Big Dot of Happiness, a Menomonie, Wisconsin-based designer party supplies and lifestyle products company. The transaction was financed in partnership with Route 2 Capital Partners, Venturi Private Wealth, co-owners Sherri and Scott Yukel and other equity investors, with CrossFirst Bank providing a credit facility.

Gardner Standard LLC has completed an investment in Wisconsin Pharmacal Company, LLC (and its subsidiary Lake Consumer Products, Inc.) to support the company's growth, new product introductions and strategic acquisitions. Terms were not disclosed; management (CEO John Wundrock and President Andrew Wundrock) will continue leading the business.

Logo Brands, a Franklin, Tennessee-based manufacturer of licensed sports hard goods, has acquired the Boelter Brands drinkware and Topperscot product lines from The Boelter Companies. The deal expands Logo Brands' product offering into drinkware and holiday items and transfers current drinkware inventory and incoming orders to Logo Brands' Tennessee operations.

San Francisco-based University Games has acquired Maranda Games, the Mequon, Wisconsin maker of outdoor recreation games (including Ladderball) and board games. The deal adds a summer/outdoor games category to University Games' Front Porch Classics division and will expand Maranda products into new international markets such as the UK, Australia and New Zealand.

Planet Wise, Inc., a family-owned maker of cloth diapers and natural parenting products, was sold to private investment company 365 Holdings in February 2020. Peakstone served as exclusive M&A advisor to Planet Wise; terms were not disclosed.

Woodstream Corporation, a portfolio company of Vestar Capital Partners, has acquired Dynamic Solutions Worldwide LLC, the maker of DynaTrap insect traps. The acquisition adds a leading insect-trap product line and expanded retail and TV distribution to Woodstream's pest-control and lawn & garden portfolio; terms were not disclosed.

Clarion Brands, a portfolio company of Swander Pace Capital, has acquired American Lifeline, Inc., the maker of the Florajen probiotic supplement brand. Cleary Gull acted as exclusive financial advisor to American Lifeline; the acquisition adds a leading pharmacist-recommended probiotic brand to Clarion's consumer health portfolio.
