Arctic Wolf has acquired Sevco Security, a Visionary-ranked exposure assessment platform, to integrate Sevco’s asset intelligence and exposure assessment capabilities into the Arctic Wolf Aurora Platform. The acquisition expands Arctic Wolf’s proactive security and exposure management capabilities for customers and MSPs by unifying asset intelligence, vulnerability context, and security control coverage.

Complete, a Charlotte-based MSP backed by private investment firm Heritage Holding, has acquired Columbia Advisory Group (CAG), a Dallas-based cybersecurity and GRC consulting firm. The add-on expands Complete's managed IT and cybersecurity capabilities and brings CAG's expertise serving higher education, state and local government, and mid-market enterprise clients into Complete's platform.

NuView, a newly formed managed IT and cybersecurity platform backed by RFE Investment Partners (majority) and Mansfield Investment Partners, has acquired Austin-based managed security provider Beyond Secure. The investment will support NuView’s organic growth and strategic add-on acquisitions to expand its managed IT, cybersecurity, compliance, and advisory capabilities for regulated industries.

Riveron has acquired Eden Data, an Austin-based cybersecurity, GRC, and AI advisory firm with nearly 60 professionals, to expand its Risk Advisory capabilities. The acquisition broadens Riveron's offerings in cybersecurity, compliance, and AI risk management, integrating Eden Data's expertise into Riveron's finance- and CFO-focused advisory platform.

Imprivata has acquired Verosint to integrate Verosint’s AI-powered Identity Threat Detection and Response (ITDR) capabilities into Imprivata’s enterprise access management platform. The deal is intended to strengthen Imprivata’s advanced and passwordless access strategy by adding continuous risk signaling, real-time detection, and automated response to identity-based threats at enterprise scale.

Cytracom, a Sverica Capital Management portfolio company, has acquired Tentacle, a platform for cybersecurity assessments, third-party risk monitoring, and GRC program management. The acquisition bolsters Cytracom's Security Risk Management (SRM) capabilities and enables its MSP partners to deliver expanded compliance and risk-advisory services.

Menlo Security has acquired Votiro to integrate Votiro’s data and file security capabilities—including Content Disarm & Reconstruction (CDR) and data loss prevention—into Menlo’s enterprise browser and workspace security suite. The deal expands Menlo’s product capabilities and total addressable market, accelerating revenue opportunities after Menlo recently surpassed $100 million ARR.

OPSWAT has acquired InQuest to strengthen its network detection, threat intelligence, and federal go-to-market capabilities. The deal will integrate InQuest's Deep File Inspection, RetroHunting, and NDR technology with OPSWAT's MetaDefender Cloud and FileScan.io to boost protection for federal and other critical networks.

SIXGEN, a PE-backed provider of cyber products and services, has acquired Boldend, a cyber automation company focused on software and electronic warfare solutions for U.S. national security customers. The add-on acquisition (following investment from Washington Harbour Partners) is intended to accelerate SIXGEN's product roadmap and expand mission-centric cyber capabilities for the U.S. government.

Resilience has acquired BreachQuest, a Dallas-based incident response technology provider, to strengthen its incident response and forensics capabilities against Business Email Compromise (BEC) and other cyber threats. The integration will embed BreachQuest's cloud-office forensics and automation tools into Resilience's claim and incident management offerings to accelerate response times and reduce incident costs for clients.

ReachOut Technology, a Chicago-based IT and cybersecurity firm, has acquired RedGear, LLC, an El Paso–based provider of IT services, structured cabling and secure access control. The deal adds nearly $4 million of revenue and expands ReachOut's capabilities in education and government (including CMMC/DoD compliance) markets.

ProofID, a Maven-backed identity and access management (IAM) specialist, has acquired Austin-based Regatta Solutions Group, an Identity Governance and Administration (IGA) integrator, to broaden its IGA capabilities and launch a combined IAM managed services offering across Europe and North America. The combined business is projected to generate more than £27 million (approximately $32 million) in 2023; Maven Capital Partners and related Maven funds provided additional equity to part‑fund the transaction. Regatta’s 35 identity specialists will be integrated into ProofID, adding an Austin, Texas base to ProofID’s existing US presence in Colorado Springs.

Stratascale, an SHI International company, has acquired Vector0, an Attack Surface Management (ASM) provider. The purchase brings Vector0's continuous ASM platform and vulnerability discovery capabilities into Stratascale's cybersecurity services to strengthen proactive threat and vulnerability management for its clients; terms were not disclosed.

SpyCloud, an Austin-based identity threat protection company, closed a $110 million growth round led by Riverwood Capital with participation from Silverton Partners. The funding will accelerate product innovation in authentication bypass prevention, expand SpyCloud’s global go-to-market teams, and grow its identity analytics and remediation capabilities.

Zyston, a Dallas-based managed security services provider, has acquired Complyify, an AI-driven cybersecurity and compliance software developer. The acquisition brings Complyify's generative AI and compliance technology into Zyston's CyberCAST platform to accelerate AI capabilities and expand proactive threat detection and compliance offerings.

Sverica Capital Management has made a strategic growth investment in Zyston, a provider of managed detection and response and AI-driven cybersecurity program management software. Zyston's founder and CEO Craig Stamm will remain in place and Sverica partners Frank Young and Michael Dougherty will join Zyston's board to support the company's continued growth and expansion of services.

Netwrix, a Frisco-based data security software vendor, announced a strategic investment from Centerbridge Partners. TA Associates remains the majority shareholder while Netwrix senior management and Updata Partners retain minority positions; the capital will be used to accelerate product and go-to-market expansion and support organic and inorganic growth.

Trace3 has completed the acquisition of Set Solutions, a Houston-based cybersecurity consulting and procurement solutions provider. The deal expands Trace3's cybersecurity capabilities and southern U.S. footprint, enabling Set Solutions' clients to access Trace3's broader cloud, security, and data & analytics offerings.

Simeio, a global identity and access management (IAM) managed services provider, has acquired Texas-based PathMaker Group to strengthen its consulting and SailPoint implementation capabilities. The acquisition expands Simeio’s IAM orchestration and automation capabilities, broadens its North American delivery footprint, and deepens expertise across utilities, travel, and logistics end markets.

AlgoSec acquired Prevasio, a SaaS cloud-native application protection platform (CNAPP) that provides agentless CSPM, container vulnerability scanning, and dynamic analysis. The acquisition expands AlgoSec's cloud-native security capabilities by incorporating Prevasio's SRI-derived AI technology to offer cost-effective, agentless cloud security across multi-cloud and container environments.

1Password has acquired Passage (Passage Identity), a developer-first passwordless authentication startup, to accelerate its move to passkeys and passwordless authentication. The entire Passage team — including co-founders Cole Hecht and Anna Pobletts — will join 1Password as the company integrates Passage's technology into a passwordless platform for enterprises and consumer-facing apps.

Thoma Bravo completed an all-cash acquisition of SailPoint Technologies for approximately $6.9 billion, taking the identity-security software company private. The deal, providing SailPoint stockholders $65.25 per share, gives SailPoint access to Thoma Bravo’s operational resources and capital to accelerate product innovation and expand its global customer base.

ePlus inc. acquired the business of Future Com, Ltd., a Grapevine, Texas-based provider of cybersecurity, cloud security and security consulting services. The acquisition, which closed July 16, 2022, expands ePlus's cybersecurity engineering, sales and services delivery capabilities in the South-Central U.S. and strengthens its overall security practice.

Crosslake Technologies, a portfolio company of Falfurrias Capital Partners, has acquired Austin-based cybersecurity advisory firm VantagePoint as an add-on to expand its cybersecurity practice. VantagePoint co-founders Danny Tijerina and Rohan Kotian will join Crosslake as managing directors; financial terms were not disclosed.

Clearwater Compliance LLC, an operating company of Altaris Capital Partners, has completed an all-cash take-private acquisition of CynergisTek, Inc. for approximately $17.7 million (stockholders to receive $1.25 per share). The deal brings together two healthcare-focused cybersecurity and compliance firms to expand Clearwater's managed services, privacy, compliance, and IT-audit capabilities.

Imprivata has acquired SecureLink, a provider of critical privileged-access management solutions, with Imprivata receiving an additional strategic investment from its sponsor Thoma Bravo to fund the deal. Cove Hill Partners, SecureLink's existing majority investor, will retain a minority stake in the combined company.

Liberty Strategic Capital, the private equity firm led by former U.S. Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin, has acquired Zimperium, a Dallas-based leader in mobile device and application security, in a transaction of approximately $525 million. Liberty will use the investment to accelerate Zimperium’s growth—organically and via strategic acquisitions—with Secretary Mnuchin chairing Zimperium’s board and SoftBank remaining a minority investor.

HelpSystems (rebranded as Fortra) signed a merger agreement to acquire Alert Logic, a managed detection and response (MDR) leader, to strengthen its cybersecurity and managed services portfolio. Alert Logic — a cloud-native MDR provider with thousands of customers — will become a cornerstone of HelpSystems/Fortra's security offerings, helping customers address cybersecurity skills shortages and secure hybrid IT environments.

Fresche Solutions has acquired Houston-based Trinity Guard, a provider of IBM i and Linux security, auditing and intrusion-detection software and services. The deal (an add-on to PE-backed Fresche) expands Fresche's security and compliance capabilities for customers running business-critical IBM i environments and integrates Trinity Guard's tools into Fresche's product and services portfolio.

Securonix, a cloud-native SIEM and XDR provider headquartered in Addison, Texas, received a more than $1 billion growth investment led by Vista Equity Partners with participation from Volition Capital and Eight Roads Ventures. The funding will support product innovation, global talent acquisition, and accelerated go-to-market efforts as Securonix scales its SaaS security analytics and operations platform.

Datto Holding Corp. acquired Austin-based Infocyte, an Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) and Managed Detection and Response (MDR) provider, to extend Datto's endpoint and threat detection capabilities for its MSP partners. The deal brings Infocyte's patented threat-detection technology and SOC team into Datto to integrate with Datto RMM and expand security offerings for SMB customers served by MSPs.

iC Consult Group, a Carlyle-backed IAM consultancy headquartered in Munich, has acquired ICSynergy, a Plano, Texas-based integrator of Identity & Access Management (IAM) and Privileged Access Management (PAM) solutions. The acquisition expands iC Consult's footprint in North America and broadens its managed-service and implementation capabilities; the purchase price was not disclosed and 7 Mile Advisors acted as buyside advisor.

Wipro Limited has signed an agreement to acquire Austin-headquartered Edgile, a cybersecurity consulting firm focused on risk and compliance, cloud security and digital identity. The acquisition will help Wipro launch "Wipro CyberTransform" to expand its strategic cybersecurity consulting capabilities; minority investor Abry Partners will fully exit its investment.

OpenText completed the acquisition of Zix Corporation, a SaaS-based email encryption, threat protection and compliance cloud provider for SMBs, for $8.50 per share in a transaction valued at approximately $860 million. The deal expands OpenText's SMB cloud portfolio, brings roughly 5,600 managed service partners, deepens its Microsoft relationship, and is expected to be accretive to adjusted EBITDA and ARR.

Invicti Security, a leader in web application security (Acunetix and Netsparker), has secured a $625 million growth investment led by Summit Partners, with existing investor Turn/River Capital remaining a significant shareholder. The financing will support product expansion and global growth as Summit joins the board to help accelerate the company's rapid expansion.

OVHcloud has acquired BuyDRM, an Austin-based provider of digital rights management (DRM) and content security technologies, bringing BuyDRM's team and IP into OVHcloud to accelerate the company's cloud security and PaaS roadmap. The acquisition aims to integrate BuyDRM's cryptographic DRM capabilities across OVHcloud solutions to better secure media and enterprise workloads and support data sovereignty.

LookingGlass Cyber Solutions has acquired AlphaWave, an Austin-based cloud-native attack surface management company. The acquisition expands LookingGlass's attack surface and cloud/container visibility capabilities and gives AlphaWave customers access to LookingGlass's threat intelligence platforms.

Pondurance, a managed detection and response (MDR) provider headquartered in Indianapolis, has acquired Rockwall, Texas-based advisory and assessment firm Bearing Cybersecurity and its cloud-based MyCyberScorecard platform. The acquisition integrates MyCyberScorecard into Pondurance's advisory and managed services to strengthen cyber risk assessment, compliance capabilities, and remediation workflows for Pondurance customers.

Coalfire acquired Denim Group, a San Antonio–based application security firm and maker of the ThreadFix ASOC platform, to expand its AppSec and DevSecOps capabilities. Terms were not disclosed; Coalfire (Apax-backed) said the deal will combine ThreadFix and Denim's consulting services with Coalfire's cloud and AppSec offerings to scale vulnerability management across the software development lifecycle.

HelpSystems (now rebranded as Fortra) acquired Digital Defense, a provider of vulnerability management and threat assessment solutions, to broaden its cybersecurity and security-assessment product suite. The acquisition adds Digital Defense's cloud-native vulnerability scanning engine and US-based penetration-testing services to HelpSystems' existing portfolio, strengthening capability coverage across healthcare, legal, financial services and other industries.

Global consulting firm Protiviti has acquired Identropy, an Austin-based identity and access management (IAM) specialist, to bolster its Security and Privacy practice and Digital Identity as a Service offering. The addition of Identropy's advisory, implementation and managed-services expertise (and its team of IAM specialists) expands Protiviti's capabilities to help enterprise clients address identity-centric security challenges.

ACRE acquired Razberi Technologies, a Farmers Branch, Texas-based provider of video surveillance appliances and automated cybersecurity/system health monitoring software. The deal expands ACRE's video and communications capabilities—bolstering the ComNet portfolio and adding cybersecurity and system monitoring technologies to ACRE's access control brands; financial terms were not disclosed.

Refinitiv has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Giact Systems, LLC (GIACT), a U.S.-based leader in digital identity, payments verification and fraud prevention. The deal will integrate GIACT's real-time fraud analytics and U.S. data assets into Refinitiv's risk and compliance suite to expand its identity verification and anti-money laundering offerings.

Francisco Partners has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Forcepoint from Raytheon Technologies in a carve-out transaction. The private equity firm said it will partner with Forcepoint management to invest in the company's cloud-native security portfolio and operate Forcepoint as an independent company; the deal is financed in part by debt from Credit Suisse and remains subject to regulatory review.

HelpSystems completed a cash tender offer to acquire all outstanding shares of GlobalSCAPE at $9.50 per share, accepting approximately 14.9 million shares (about 78.8% of outstanding). GlobalSCAPE will become a wholly owned subsidiary of HelpSystems and be integrated into its data security and automation portfolio to expand managed file transfer and secure data movement capabilities.

Sumo Logic acquired JASK Labs to integrate JASK's cloud-native Autonomous Security Operations Center (ASOC) capabilities into Sumo Logic's Continuous Intelligence Platform, expanding its cloud-native security intelligence, cloud SIEM and compliance offerings. The deal adds JASK's security engineering talent and an Austin, Texas office to Sumo Logic and aims to reduce alert fatigue and automate SOC workflows for modern, multi-cloud environments.

IPKeys Power Partners (a subsidiary of IPKeys) has completed the acquisition of SigmaFlow LLC, a provider of utility-focused automated compliance technology for NERC CIP. The deal expands IPKeys' Cyber Lab as a Service (CLaaS) offering and brings SigmaFlow's NERC compliance workflow platform into IPKeys' broader cybersecurity and utility solutions for investor-owned utilities, municipal power producers and cooperatives.

Alert Logic has acquired Austin-based Click Security to bolster its cloud security analytics, threat detection and incident analysis capabilities. Alert Logic plans to integrate Click Security's employees and technology into its Cloud Defender Security-as-a-Service platform to enhance detection and managed security offerings.

FireEye acquired cyber threat intelligence firm iSIGHT Partners in a deal valued at up to $275 million, paying approximately $200 million in cash with up to $75 million in performance-based incentives. The acquisition (closed January 14, 2016) adds subscription-based intelligence capabilities and personnel (roughly 350 staff) to FireEye to expand its threat intelligence offerings and create cross-sell opportunities across industry verticals and government customers.

Cyber Risk Management, LLC (CRM), a Tampa-based data risk management firm, has acquired ANRC, a San Antonio-based cybersecurity training, consulting, and solutions provider. The acquisition expands CRM's service offering to include ANRC's hands-on training programs and security products for government and private enterprise clients.
