Proofpoint, Inc. has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Normalyze, a Data Security Posture Management (DSPM) provider. The acquisition will integrate Normalyze's AI-powered DSPM technology into Proofpoint's human-centric security platform to improve discovery, classification and protection of data across SaaS, PaaS, cloud, on‑prem and hybrid environments; the deal is expected to close in November 2024.

Palo Alto Networks Acquires Dig Security

Palo Alto Networks has completed the acquisition of Israel-based Dig Security (Dig Security Solutions Ltd.), a provider of Data Security Posture Management (DSPM) technology, integrating its capabilities into the Prisma Cloud platform. The deal was announced completed on Dec. 5, 2023; media reports put the purchase price at about $400 million.

Zscaler Acquires Cloudneeti

Zscaler announced the intent to acquire Cloudneeti, a Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM) startup, to extend Zscaler's Cloud Security Platform with public-cloud misconfiguration detection and automated remediation capabilities. The acquisition will broaden Zscaler's data protection coverage across SaaS, IaaS and PaaS environments; terms were not disclosed and the deal was expected to close prior to Zscaler's fiscal third quarter.
