Blue Point Capital Partners' portfolio company Weaver Leather has acquired Rex Specs, a Jackson, Wyoming-based premium brand of outdoor products for active and working dogs. The add-on deal will leverage Weaver and Blue Point's supply chain, e-commerce and marketing capabilities to expand Rex Specs' distribution, customer base and product offerings.

Blue Point Capital Partners has acquired Weaver Leather, a Mt. Hope, Ohio-based manufacturer and distributor of branded and non-branded leather, nylon/synthetic, hardware and accessory products, from River Associates Investments. Blue Point partnered with Weaver management (including CEO Jason Weaver) to support organic growth, expand digital and supply-chain capabilities, and pursue add-on acquisitions as it builds Weaver as a local platform.

Weaver Leather, a Blue Point Capital Partners–backed platform, has acquired Ohio Travel Bag (OTB), a Solon, Ohio–based distributor of specialty hardware, fittings and supplies serving leather goods, pet/equine, handbags and crafts markets. The add-on expands Weaver's product portfolio and strengthens local customer relationships with support from Blue Point.

Olympic Forest Products Acquires Jacob A. Weaver Co. (and Willis E. Sommers Co.)

Cleveland-based Olympic Forest Products has acquired family-owned Jacob A. Weaver Co., including its Cochranton, Pennsylvania plant, and also purchased Willis E. Sommers Co., a longtime subcontractor. The deal expands Olympic’s manufacturing footprint in the Eastern U.S.; transaction financial terms were not disclosed and the existing Weaver management team will remain in place.

Schaeffler AG Acquires Ewellix from Triton

Schaeffler AG has completed the acquisition of Ewellix, a Gothenburg-based global manufacturer of linear motion and actuation solutions, from Triton Fund V. Triton had acquired the business as a carve-out from SKF in 2018 and repositioned Ewellix with streamlined operations, digital investments and an expanded global footprint prior to the sale.

Intradeco Acquires Headsweats

The deal positions Headsweats to expand into fully sublimated performance tees and running singlets while leveraging Intradeco's vertical integration and sustainable manufacturing capabilities to increase production and lower minimums.
