LDC Backs Texthelp with Growth Investment

LDC has made a significant growth investment in Texthelp, the Belfast-headquartered education technology specialist, to accelerate growth, expand into new markets and further develop its software and data analytics capabilities. The deal returns capital to prior investor Delta Partners and will support Texthelp's management team as it scales its SaaS products across education and corporate customers worldwide.

Texthelp Ltd, a Northern Ireland–based provider of literacy and accessibility technology, has acquired Northern European edtech company Wizkids. The deal expands Texthelp's assistive-technology product set and strengthens its presence across the Nordics and wider education markets.

Texthelp Acquires Don Johnston Inc.'s Education Technology Division

Texthelp, a PE-backed literacy and accessibility technology company, has acquired the Education Technology Division of Don Johnston Inc., bringing products such as Snap&Read, Co:Writer, Word Bank, Quizbot and uPAR into the Texthelp product suite. The deal expands Texthelp's assistive-technology capabilities for classrooms and workplaces and will see Don Johnston's curriculum division spun out as a new company, Building Wings; terms were not disclosed.

Five Arrows Acquires Majority Stake in n2y

Five Arrows, the alternative assets arm of Rothschild & Co, has acquired a majority stake in n2y, a Huron, Ohio–based provider of SaaS solutions for special education. Providence Equity Partners will remain a minority investor; The Riverside Company sold its investment as part of the transaction. Financial terms were not disclosed.

TDR Capital IV (via Sherwood Acquisitions) Acquires Arrow Global Group plc

TDR Capital IV, via its acquisition vehicle Sherwood Acquisitions Ltd, has completed a take-private acquisition of Arrow Global Group plc, a London-listed European asset manager specialising in non-performing loans and alternative credit. The transaction will allow Arrow to transition to a fully vertically integrated fund management business and pursue long-term growth across its core European markets.
