Texthelp Acquires Don Johnston Inc.'s Education Technology Division

Texthelp, a PE-backed literacy and accessibility technology company, has acquired the Education Technology Division of Don Johnston Inc., bringing products such as Snap&Read, Co:Writer, Word Bank, Quizbot and uPAR into the Texthelp product suite. The deal expands Texthelp's assistive-technology capabilities for classrooms and workplaces and will see Don Johnston's curriculum division spun out as a new company, Building Wings; terms were not disclosed.
