Decisions and ProcessMaker Merge to Create AI Business Orchestration Leader

Decisions and ProcessMaker announced a merger to form a combined Business Orchestration and Automation Technologies (BOAT) company, bringing together ProcessMaker’s AI-enriched workflows and Intelligent Document Processing with Decisions’ enterprise rules engine and orchestration capabilities. The combined company, backed by private equity firm Aldrich Capital Partners and led by CEO Giles Whiting, will serve more than 700 customers across industries including financial services, healthcare, insurance, education, manufacturing and government.

SER Group Acquires Klippa

SER Group, a provider of AI-powered Intelligent Content Automation (Doxis), has acquired Klippa, an Intelligent Document Processing (IDP) innovator, to embed Klippa’s AI-driven document automation capabilities into SER’s Doxis platform. The acquisition is intended to bolster SER’s Smart Content apps and accelerate enterprise adoption of AI-driven document workflows; the transaction remains subject to customary regulatory approvals.

Main Capital Partners Acquires Documaster from Summa Equity

Main Capital Partners has acquired Norwegian cloud-native document management SaaS provider Documaster from Summa Equity, which fully exited its investment. Since Summa's 2017 investment, Documaster grew more than 15x in revenue, reached profitability in 2024, and now has nearly 100 employees and ~750 customers (primarily public sector) across the Nordics and the Netherlands. Main Capital will aim to scale Documaster further across the Benelux and Nordic markets.

SCHEMA Group Acquires Docware GmbH

The acquisition brings Configurable Management's SAP-specific tooling (D/4SAP, BAPIMatic, Scriptonite, DVM, Wingman) into the Decisions + ProcessMaker portfolio to accelerate SAP data migration, validation, and orchestration capabilities for enterprise customers.

Ricoh Acquires DocuWare from Morgan Stanley Expansion Capital

Ricoh Company, Ltd. has agreed to acquire DocuWare GmbH, a Germany-headquartered provider of cloud and on‑premises document management and workflow automation software, from investment funds managed by Morgan Stanley Expansion Capital. The acquisition gives Ricoh broader content services and cloud software capabilities to serve DocuWare’s more than 12,000 customers globally.
