ProcessMaker Acquires Doculayer to Add Intelligent Document Processing

ProcessMaker has acquired Doculayer, an Amsterdam-based intelligent document processing (IDP) specialist, to integrate next-generation document classification and data-extraction capabilities into its low-code business process management platform. The deal brings Doculayer's AI/ML-powered OCR and unstructured-document processing into ProcessMaker's product suite to accelerate process automation, improve compliance, and deliver greater operational efficiency for enterprise customers in banking, higher education, and manufacturing.

Main Capital Partners has acquired Norwegian cloud-native document management SaaS provider Documaster from Summa Equity, which fully exited its investment. Since Summa's 2017 investment, Documaster grew more than 15x in revenue, reached profitability in 2024, and now has nearly 100 employees and ~750 customers (primarily public sector) across the Nordics and the Netherlands. Main Capital will aim to scale Documaster further across the Benelux and Nordic markets.
