Hightouch has acquired London-based knowledge management startup Whatis to integrate Whatis’ warehouse-centric knowledge and data sharing capabilities into Hightouch’s Data Activation platform and expand its presence in Europe. Terms were not disclosed; Whatis co-founders Hugo Darwood and Mitchell Friedman will join Hightouch as part of the deal.

The acquisition brings HighQ’s secure cloud collaboration, workflow automation and client engagement software — used by 400+ customers including more than half of the top 100 global law firms — into Thomson Reuters’ legal technology portfolio to expand its product capabilities for legal and regulated markets.
