Preformed Line Products Company (PLP) acquired substantially all of the assets of Pilot Plastics, Inc., an injection molding specialist based in Peninsula, Ohio. The acquisition expands PLP's injection molding capacity and supports production of fiber-optic connectivity components for FTTH and 5G deployments while enabling closer collaboration with PLP's Cleveland headquarters.

Richelieu Hardware has acquired Midwest Specialty Products, LLC, a Shakopee, Minnesota-based distributor of premium countertop and surface solutions. The acquisition closed January 13, 2025 and was advised by Generational Group. The deal expands Richelieu's product offering in stone slabs and strengthens its distribution footprint in the U.S. Midwest.

Montreal-based Richelieu Hardware Ltd. completed ten acquisitions across Canada and the United States during fiscal 2025, adding roughly $100 million of annual sales and marking the 100th acquisition in the company's history. Transactions announced included the purchase of Ideal Security (Greater Montreal), Finmac Lumber (Winnipeg), Klassen Bronze (New Hamburg) and three distribution centres from McKillican American (Portland, Seattle and Spokane), among others, expanding Richelieu's private-brand portfolio and North American distribution footprint.

Compass Partners Acquires PRL, Inc. and Combines It with Micro Precision

Compass Partners Capital LLC acquired PRL, Inc., a family-owned manufacturer of ferrous and nonferrous alloy castings and precision machining, and will combine PRL with its portfolio company Micro Precision LLC to create an enhanced platform serving the U.S. Navy, nuclear power, and railroad markets. Vice Admiral John Morgan (USN, ret.) will lead the combined company as CEO; sellers included members of the Herschkowitz family.

Frontline Road Safety Acquires PLP Company

Frontline Road Safety, a Denver-based pavement marking platform backed by Bain Capital, has acquired PLP Company, a family-owned pavement marking contractor based in Bethel Park, Pennsylvania. The add-on deal expands Frontline's footprint in the Northeastern U.S. and enhances its ability to collaborate on large regional projects; financial terms were not disclosed.
