Merkle Acquires Shift7 Digital from RLH Equity Partners

Merkle, a dentsu company, has acquired Shift7 Digital, a Salesforce B2B commerce and digital experience consultancy previously backed by RLH Equity Partners and Salesforce Ventures. The acquisition strengthens Merkle's Experience & Commerce practice by adding Shift7's B2B Salesforce multi-cloud capabilities and expertise serving manufacturers and distributors.

Digital Pi will join Merkle to expand Merkle's B2B capabilities, particularly in Adobe Marketo/marketing automation and campaign operations; Digital Pi's ~50 employees will integrate into Merkle's B2B group.

Dentsu Aegis Network / Merkle Acquires 4Cite Marketing

Dentsu Aegis Network has acquired 4Cite Marketing, which will join Merkle to bolster Merkle's identity and people-based marketing capabilities. The deal brings 4Cite's people-based identification technology and first-party consumer data network — and roughly 50 employees located in Albany, New York and Peterborough, New Hampshire — into Merkle's platform to strengthen identity resolution and addressable media offerings.
