Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) completed its all-cash acquisition of Juniper Networks for $40.00 per share (approximately $14 billion equity value), combining Juniper's AI-native networking capabilities with HPE's hybrid cloud and AI portfolio. The deal doubles HPE's networking business, is expected to be accretive to non-GAAP EPS in year one, and positions the combined company to deliver an end-to-end, AI-driven networking stack for enterprise, service provider, and cloud customers.

Hewlett Packard Enterprise Acquires Axis Security

Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) agreed to acquire Axis Security, a Tel Aviv-based cloud-native Security Service Edge (SSE) provider, to expand HPE’s edge-to-cloud SASE capabilities. HPE will integrate Axis Security’s Atmos platform with Aruba networking and HPE GreenLake to offer a unified SASE/SSE solution as-a-service; the deal is expected to close by the end of HPE’s FY2023 Q2, subject to customary conditions.

Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) has completed the acquisition of Athonet, a Vicenza, Italy–based private cellular/mobile core software provider, integrating Athonet’s private 4G/5G core technology into HPE’s edge-to-cloud, Aruba networking and GreenLake offerings. The deal strengthens HPE’s private 5G capability, enabling integrated Wi‑Fi and private 5G deployments for enterprises and communications service providers and accelerating go-to-market at global scale.

Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire OpsRamp, a San Jose–based IT operations management (ITOM) company. The acquisition will integrate OpsRamp’s hybrid digital operations and AIOps capabilities with the HPE GreenLake edge-to-cloud platform to expand HPE’s hybrid cloud and IT operations management offerings; the deal is expected to close in HPE’s Q3 fiscal 2023 subject to customary approvals.

Hewlett Packard Enterprise Acquires Cloud Cruiser

Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) acquired Cloud Cruiser, a San Jose–based maker of cloud IT consumption metering and analytics software, to bolster HPE’s Flexible Capacity hybrid cloud pay-as-you-go offering. The deal adds Cloud Cruiser’s consumption analytics capability into HPE’s Technology Services portfolio and will integrate the company into HPE’s Data Center Care/ Flexible Capacity programs; terms were not disclosed.

Ribbon Communications Acquires Edgewater Networks

Ribbon Communications has signed an agreement to acquire Edgewater Networks, a provider of Network Edge Orchestration and SD-WAN/edge devices, for an aggregate purchase price of $110 million in cash, deferred payments and stock. The deal expands Ribbon’s core-to-edge portfolio (including SBCs, SD-WAN and analytics), is expected to be immediately accretive, and positions Ribbon as a market leader in enterprise Session Border Controllers and network edge orchestration.
