Atlas Holdings LLC has acquired International Wire Group Holdings, Inc. (IWG), a Camden, New York–headquartered manufacturer of engineered copper-based wire products. The deal brings IWG’s ~1,600+ employees and 17 manufacturing facilities into Atlas’ industrial manufacturing portfolio; Gregory J. Smith was named IWG President & CEO as part of the transition.

Olympus Partners has signed a definitive agreement to acquire a majority ownership stake in International Wire Group Holdings, Inc. (IWG) from Atlas Holdings, with Atlas remaining as an investor. Headquartered in Camden, New York, IWG is a leading manufacturer of copper and copper-alloy wire products with operations in the United States and Europe; the transaction was expected to close in Q2 2023 and financial terms were not disclosed in the initial announcement.

Amphenol Acquires Trexon’s Industrial Products Group (IPG)

Amphenol Corporation acquired Trexon’s Industrial Products Group (IPG), a divestiture that includes the brand portfolios of TPC Wire & Cable, Pittsburgh Wire & Cable, and MilRail. The sale, completed late in 2023, transfers Trexon’s industrial cable and harsh-environment interconnect businesses to Amphenol as Trexon focuses its operations on its Engineered Products Group (EPG).

TPC Wire & Cable, a portfolio company of Audax Private Equity, has acquired Integrated Cable Systems, Inc. (ICS), an ISO 9001 certified manufacturer of custom cables, harnesses, electro-mechanical assemblies and industrial panels based in Longmont, Colorado. The acquisition is an add-on to TPC's newly formed Engineered Products Division to expand capabilities and product offerings into high-reliability end markets such as medical, semiconductor/test & measurement, aerospace and defense.

International Wire Group Acquires EMS Elektro Metall Schwanenmühle

The acquisition expands IWG’s European footprint and product capabilities across electrical infrastructure, data centers, battery storage, electric vehicles and renewables and complements IWG’s recent platform build-out including Hussey Copper.
