Datadog announced it has acquired Adaptive ML, a frontier AI startup focused on helping enterprises build, own, and deploy specialized agents and models. Adaptive ML’s Adaptive Engine platform enables fine-tuning of open models with reinforcement learning and synthetic data, plus model evaluation using custom AI judges and A/B testing, with production signals fed back into training.

Databricks Acquires Tabular to Advance Lakehouse Interoperability

The acquisition brings Iceberg expertise into Databricks to accelerate interoperability between Delta Lake and Iceberg (via Delta Lake UniForm) and strengthen Databricks' open lakehouse strategy; the deal is expected to close in Databricks' second fiscal quarter subject to customary conditions.
