Ericsson Acquires Cradlepoint for USD 1.1B

Ericsson has agreed to acquire Cradlepoint, a U.S.-based leader in wireless edge WAN and 4G/5G enterprise solutions, for an enterprise value of USD 1.1 billion. Cradlepoint will operate as a fully owned subsidiary headquartered in Boise, Idaho and will join Ericsson's Business Area Technologies & New Businesses to strengthen Ericsson's 5G Enterprise portfolio.

Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire SD-WAN leader Silver Peak for approximately $925 million in cash. Silver Peak will be combined with HPE's Aruba business unit to extend Aruba's Edge Services Platform and accelerate HPE's edge-to-cloud networking strategy; the deal is expected to close in HPE's fiscal Q4 2020 subject to regulatory approvals.

DigitalBridge has formed EdgePoint Infrastructure, a Southeast Asia-focused wireless towers platform led by Suresh Sidhu, and is building scale through multiple acquisitions and asset purchases. EdgePoint has secured over 10,000 sites across Indonesia and Malaysia, including a controlling stake in PT Centratama Telekomunikasi Indonesia Tbk, the purchase of 4,247 towers from Indosat Ooredoo (sale‑leaseback), and the acquisition of Asiaspace in Malaysia to accelerate 5G infrastructure deployment.

Nokia Acquires Infinera

Nokia completed the acquisition of Infinera, closing the transaction on 28 February 2025. The deal combines Aeris' IoT platform with Ericsson's IoT and connected-vehicle technology to create a larger global IoT-first connectivity management service platform serving automotive, fleet, utilities, healthcare and other enterprise customers.
