Heads Up Technologies, a portfolio company backed by JLL Partners, has acquired ALTO Aviation, a Sterling, Massachusetts-based designer and manufacturer of premium OEM and aftermarket cabin audio and cabin management systems. The acquisition expands Heads Up's product portfolio and strengthens its presence in the OEM and aftermarket business aviation markets.

Heads Up Technologies, a Dallas-based aircraft systems manufacturer (PE-backed by JLL Partners), has acquired STG Aerospace, a UK-based maker of photoluminescent and LED aircraft cabin lighting. The deal expands Heads Up’s cabin- and safety-lighting portfolio and brings STG’s concept-to-certification capability and proprietary IP into Heads Up’s platform as an add-on acquisition.

Altus Capital Partners, a private equity firm focused on middle-market manufacturing, has acquired Air Innovations, LLC, a North Syracuse, New York-based designer and manufacturer of custom environmental control units (ECUs) serving wine, aerospace, semiconductor, homeland security, and healthcare markets. Financial terms were not disclosed; Air Innovations' management will remain in place and Altus said it will support the company’s growth and end-market diversification.
