Cadence Acquires Future Facilities

Cadence Design Systems has acquired Future Facilities, a London-based provider of physics-based 3D digital twin and CFD simulation software for data center thermal and energy optimization. The deal expands Cadence's multiphysics and electronics cooling capabilities by integrating Future Facilities' digital-twin solutions with Cadence's existing thermal solver portfolio; terms were not disclosed and the acquisition is expected to be immaterial to near-term revenue.
