Metasphere Acquires Meniscus to Expand Wastewater Analytics

Metasphere, a portfolio company of XPV Water Partners, has acquired UK-based Meniscus, an AI/ML real-time analytics provider for the wastewater sector. The deal integrates Meniscus's MAP platform with Metasphere's ART Sewer solution to broaden analytics capabilities, help customers predict and prevent spills, and strengthen Metasphere's offering to water utilities globally.

XPV Water Partners Invests in Metron‑Farnier

The acquisition (Metron's first since partnering with XPV Water Partners in 2019) expands Metron's water-conservation analytics capabilities and accelerates deployment into strategic real-estate and commercial markets.

Grundfos Acquires Newterra

Danish water solutions leader Grundfos has acquired Newterra, a Pittsburgh-area designer and manufacturer of water and wastewater treatment systems, to strengthen its water treatment capabilities and expand its presence in North America. The deal boosts Grundfos' water treatment workforce in Europe and North America and supports its goal to grow its US business.

Microsoft Acquires Metaswitch Networks

Microsoft signed a definitive agreement to acquire Metaswitch Networks, a provider of cloud-native communications and virtualized network software, expanding Azure's capabilities for telecom operators and 5G deployments. The deal, which follows Microsoft's acquisition of Affirmed Networks, was completed from seller Francisco Partners (which had owned Metaswitch alongside other shareholders) and will be used to integrate Metaswitch's talent and technology into Azure to serve operators globally.

Badger Meter Acquires SmartCover Systems from XPV Water Partners

The acquisition expands Badger Meter’s capabilities in collection system monitoring and brings SmartCover’s sensor- and data-driven remote monitoring technology and customer base into Badger Meter’s global smart water offering.
