Sensofusion Acquires Atol Aviation

Finnish defense technology company Sensofusion has completed a strategic acquisition of Finnish aircraft manufacturer Atol Aviation. The deal adds aircraft and unmanned aircraft manufacturing expertise and production capacity, enabling Sensofusion to bring air-to-ground surveillance systems to market, with aircraft platforms planned to be manufactured at a former Finnish air force base in Halli.

Firan Technology Group Corporation (FTG) has acquired all of the issued and outstanding shares of FLYHT Aerospace Solutions Ltd. under a court-approved plan of arrangement, with closing announced December 20, 2024. The deal, which used a mix of cash and FTG shares as consideration (subject to pro-ration and caps), expands FTG's presence in the commercial aerospace aftermarket and adds FLYHT's SATCOM hardware and data/analytics capabilities to FTG's portfolio.

Astronics Corporation (Nasdaq: ATRO) has acquired Bühler Motor Aviation (BMA) from Bühler Motor Group in an all-cash transaction. BMA, based in Uhldingen-Mühlhofen, Germany, manufactures aircraft seat actuation systems and is expected to generate about $22 million in revenue in 2026; Astronics says the acquisition augments its motion control solutions and complements its PGA subsidiary.
