Dental Acquisitions in New York

Dandy has acquired Neem, a dental practice management software company, to integrate Neem's product, UX, and engineering talent into Dandy’s end-to-end dental lab and software platform. The acquisition aims to accelerate development on Dandy’s Vision intraoral scanner and AI/ML-enabled manufacturing capabilities, strengthening Dandy’s chair-to-lab workflow and digital restorative dentistry offering.

SALT Dental Partners announced a partnership with Sitwell Dental effective May 30, 2025, bringing the multi-specialty group into SALT's network and marking SALT's entry into New York (its 20th state). Sitwell Dental operates four clinical locations across Upstate New York and was founded by Drs. John and Tiffany O'Brien; the deal is an add-on to SALT's growing dental platform.

The Smilist has affiliated with BrookBeam Dental, a 16-location dental partnership organization based in New York's Hudson Valley, expanding The Smilist's Northeast footprint to more than 100 locations. The affiliation brings BrookBeam's clinicians and local teams into The Smilist's growth platform while preserving existing providers and patient relationships.

Specialty Smile Partners, a doctor-led management services organization backed by Blue Sea Capital, announced strategic partnerships with four New York specialty dental practices: Albany Braces, Where Smiles Grow, Battiste Orthodontics, and Schenectady Pediatric Dentistry. The affiliations expand Specialty Smile Partners' footprint into New York and bring the practices access to centralized business services and operational support from the MSO and its PE backer.

Solmetex, LLC acquired Impladent Ltd., a provider of regenerative dental materials including bone grafts and resorbable membranes, to expand its dental product portfolio. The transaction — supported by Solmetex's existing investor Avista Capital Partners — brings nearly 40 years of Impladent expertise into the Solmetex platform; financial terms were not disclosed.

Frontier Dental Superholdings, the multi-site dental laboratory platform backed by O2 Investment Partners, has partnered with and made an investment in Dental Lab Aesthetics, a Port Washington, New York-based full-service cosmetic dental laboratory. The transaction brings DLA onto the Frontier platform as an add-on to expand cosmetic dentistry capabilities and strengthen the platform's presence in the Northeast; DLA founder Jason Kim will join Frontier's board.

quip, the modern oral health company, has acquired Toothpic, a teledentistry platform that connects patients with dental professionals. The acquisition integrates Toothpic’s telehealth capabilities and nationwide provider network into quip’s digital oral care platform to expand access to preventive dental care and enhance quip’s product-and-services offering.

Halle Capital Management made a growth equity investment in Planet Smile Partners, a newly formed pediatric- and orthodontic-focused dental service organization (DSO). Planet Smile Partners will initially partner with Dentistry for Children Westchester and Dr. Gary Heitzler will serve as CEO as the platform scales across the Northeast.
