CM Labs Simulations has acquired GlobalSim, a Utah-based developer and manufacturer of high-end training simulators, to strengthen its simulation-based workforce development offerings. The deal expands CM Labs' U.S. footprint (Salt Lake City) and adds manufacturing resources and industry expertise to enhance training products for ports, construction, industrial and military customers.

Volaris Group, an operating group of Constellation Software Inc., has acquired Alpine Testing Solutions Inc., a psychometric consulting and test-security provider based in Orem, Utah. Alpine will join Volaris' Smith Portfolio and remain led by CEO Stephen Price as the acquisition expands Volaris into the workforce-management vertical and strengthens its credentialing and assessment capabilities.

Echo360 has acquired GoReact, a provider of AI-powered video-based skill assessment, integrating GoReact’s real-time video feedback capabilities into Echo360’s Echosystem learning transformation platform. The acquisition expands Echo360’s enterprise learning and assessment capabilities for higher education and corporate training, enabling personalized, competency-based video assessment at scale.

Investment funds managed by KKR, with participation from Dragoneer Investment Group, acquired Instructure Holdings, Inc. in an all-cash transaction at $23.60 per share, valuing the company at approximately $4.8 billion. Instructure will become privately held and remain headquartered in Salt Lake City as KKR supports product innovation, global expansion and continued investment in the Canvas and Parchment products.

Savvas Learning Company has acquired Pointful Education to expand its K-12 career and technical education (CTE) and online course offerings. The deal brings Pointful’s catalog of ~55 career-focused digital courses into Savvas’s portfolio to accelerate development of technical, certification-aligned courses for middle and high school students.

Crucial Learning, a Leeds Equity Partners portfolio company, has acquired Core Strengths, the maker of the Strength Deployment Inventory (SDI 2.0) assessment. The add-on will integrate Core Strengths' relationship-intelligence assessments into Crucial Learning's communication, performance, and leadership training offerings; terms were not disclosed.

360training.com, Inc. (360training), a leading online regulated training provider, has acquired Mortgage Educators & Compliance (MEC), a Utah-based mortgage lending training and NMLS-approved continuing education provider. The acquisition expands 360training’s mortgage and real estate course catalog and strengthens its regulated financial services training capabilities across the United States.

CompTIA announced the strategic acquisition of TestOut Corporation, a Utah-based provider of hands-on IT training, courseware, online labs and performance-based exams. The deal combines CompTIA's certification and workforce development reach with TestOut's LabSim platform to expand technical training, digital literacy and career-focused learning for students, educators and IT professionals.

IXL Learning, the San Mateo-based education technology company, has acquired Emmersion, a Lehi, Utah-based developer of AI-powered language assessments. The deal expands IXL's language and literacy offerings by integrating Emmersion's automated speaking, writing and placement assessments into IXL's portfolio of products including Rosetta Stone and Vocabulary.com.

PDH Academy, an Eden Capital portfolio company, has acquired DermQBank, a dermatology-focused question bank and testing engine. The deal expands PDH Academy’s exam preparation and continuing medical education offerings for dermatology professionals as an add-on to its healthcare education platform.

Leeds Equity Partners has made a significant growth investment in eLuma, a two-sided marketplace providing live, online special education and mental health services and software to K-12 districts. The capital will support eLuma's expansion into school-based mental health services and further development of its proprietary school software platform while founder Jeremy Glauser remains CEO.

TPC Training, a Frontenac portfolio company, has acquired Above Training (operator of the State Food Safety division) to expand its compliance-driven eLearning and certification offerings for the restaurant, hospitality, and food retail industries. The deal bolsters TPC Training's recurring, regulatory-focused training capabilities and follows prior add-ons including eFoodHandlers.

RNL (Ruffalo Noel Levitz) has acquired Helix Education to expand its data-driven enrollment, marketing, and retention technology and services for adult, graduate, and online students. Helix's technology platform and leadership team (including former Helix CEO Matthew Schnittman joining RNL as chief product officer) will be integrated into RNL's enrollment growth offerings to strengthen capabilities in online and post-traditional student recruitment and retention.

Online Education Services (OES) has acquired a majority stake in Construct, a provider of online learning design and course production. The deal makes Construct a majority-owned subsidiary of OES and aims to broaden service capabilities and expand OES's presence in the US, UK and South Africa while enhancing learning design, analytics and global client support.

RLG Capital and Trinity Investors led a $38 million recapitalization of learning-technology company eLearning Brothers, with co-investors HCAP Partners and Eagle Marsh Holdings and senior debt provided by KeyBank. The financing enables eLearning Brothers to simultaneously acquire Trivantis and Edulence (KnowledgeLink), combining authoring tools (Lectora), VR builder (CenarioVR), an LMS (KnowledgeLink) and content/licensing into an integrated corporate learning platform.

Leeds Equity Partners has acquired VitalSmarts from TwentyEighty, Inc. VitalSmarts is a Provo, Utah–based provider of communication, execution and leadership development training, and the acquisition represents a platform investment to expand Leeds Equity's presence in the workplace learning and professional training sector. Terms were not disclosed.

Capella Education Company (NASDAQ: CPLA) has acquired DevMountain, a coding school with locations in Provo (headquarters), Salt Lake City and Dallas. The acquisition provides Capella a complementary platform to expand its job-ready skills and technical training offerings.
