Environmental Services Acquisitions in Wisconsin

Greenix Pest Control, based in Orem, Utah, has acquired the Milwaukee, Wisconsin operations of Rove Pest Control to expand its Midwest footprint. The deal increases Greenix's service area and reinforces its focus on sustainable, residential-focused pest management.

Republic Services acquired two longtime Wisconsin hauling companies, Town & Country Sanitation and Peterson Sanitation, effective May 1. The purchases expand Republic's residential, commercial and roll‑off collection footprint across southwest and south‑central Wisconsin and northeast Iowa and add to its existing hauling and post‑collection assets in the Midwest.

Greenix Pest Control acquired the Milwaukee office of Spidexx Pest Control from owners Coleman Spaulding, Taylor Spaulding and Ryan Coleman, expanding Greenix's residential pest control footprint in Wisconsin. The acquisition strengthens Greenix's presence in Milwaukee as the company continues to grow its sustainable pest control operations across 19 states.

Columbus-based Sage Sustainable Electronics, a portfolio company backed by Closed Loop Partners' buyout private equity group, has acquired Madison-based IT asset disposition (ITAD) provider Cascade Asset Management. The bolt-on acquisition expands Sage's national footprint, adds demanufacturing and refurbishment capabilities, and strengthens its position as a leading sustainable ITAD platform in the United States.

Brookside Capital Partners has invested in SWAT Environmental, partnering with Mason Wells to provide subordinated debt to accelerate the company's growth and market expansion. SWAT Environmental, founded in 1988, is the largest radon mitigation services firm in the United States and serves customers across more than 30 states.

Boston-based private equity firm Fort Point Capital has invested in Visu-Sewer, Inc., a Pewaukee, Wisconsin-headquartered provider of wastewater infrastructure rehabilitation and maintenance services. The partnership will support Visu-Sewer's growth plans, expand service offerings and pursue accretive acquisitions; BMO Sponsor Finance provided debt financing and advisors included Kirkland & Ellis, RSM and TKO Miller.

Jones Fish Hatcheries & Distributors, backed by Fort Point Capital, has acquired Wisconsin Lake & Pond Resource, a provider of pond and lake management, aeration and fountain services, and pond construction based in Eldorado, Wisconsin. The transaction expands Jones Fish's footprint into the Upper Midwest (Wisconsin and Illinois) and will keep co-owners Cory and Brittney Zickert in operating roles.

AQUALIS, a portfolio company of DFW Capital Partners and a national sustainable water management provider, has acquired the assets of Stormwater Solutions Engineering, LLC (SSE), a Milwaukee-based civil engineering firm specializing in stormwater management. SSE CEO Carrie Bristoll-Groll will join AQUALIS as Executive Vice President, Engineering Services as the acquisition expands AQUALIS’ engineering capabilities and service offering nationwide.

AQUALIS, a portfolio company of DFW Capital Partners, acquired the assets of Northern Pipe, Inc., a Green Bay, Wisconsin-based wastewater and stormwater collection services and hydro-excavation firm. The add-on expands AQUALIS' Midwest presence and enhances its vac & jetting, hydro-excavation and CCTV inspection and pipeline repair capabilities.

Blackmon Mooring & BMS CAT has acquired Accent Property Restoration, a Milwaukee-based restoration, mitigation and reconstruction firm founded in 2008 by Dean Rossey. The acquisition is the ninth in BMS CAT’s strategic roll-up plan and will integrate Accent’s local team and capabilities into BMS CAT’s national disaster recovery and restoration platform.

LRS has acquired the portable restroom line of business from Portage, Wisconsin–based family-owned operator The Country Plumber. The deal (terms undisclosed) transfers the portable restroom operations and employees to LRS’ Portables line as part of the company’s continued regional expansion in Wisconsin.

Tanknology, a portfolio company of Hamilton Robinson Capital Partners, acquired Compliance Testing & Technology, Inc. (CT&T), a Cedarburg, Wisconsin-based provider of underground and aboveground storage tank testing, inspection and related environmental compliance services. The add-on deal (closed April 30, 2020) expands Tanknology’s geographic footprint, technical capabilities and customer base to accelerate growth under HRCP ownership.
