HVAC & Mechanical Acquisitions in New Jersey

AIR Control Concepts, a portfolio company of Blackstone, has acquired Technical Air Systems, Inc., an ESOP-owned regional HVAC manufacturers' representative based in Morristown, New Jersey. The deal positions Technical Air to leverage AIR's national platform and resources to accelerate growth across the New York/New Jersey market and preserve the company's local relationships and entrepreneurial culture.

Entities managed by Good Springs Capital have completed a growth investment in Falasca Mechanical, a Vineland, New Jersey-based provider of HVAC, mechanical and plumbing services to education, healthcare and commercial & industrial end markets. The Falasca family and senior management will remain in place; Good Springs said the capital will support a third-generation succession, organic growth and pursuit of strategic add-on acquisitions.

Climate Efficiency Partners (CEP), backed by 424 Capital, has acquired Tri‑Tech Energy of Boonton, New Jersey. The add‑on expands CEP's commercial & industrial HVAC preventative maintenance, service/repair, and design/build capacity in northern and central New Jersey and strengthens its Mid‑Atlantic C&I customer base.

O2 Investment Partners, through its pool-care platform Azureon, has acquired a significant stake in Northstar Pool Co., a full-service pool maintenance provider based in Allendale, New Jersey. The add-on expands Azureon's Northeast footprint and gives Northstar access to Azureon's operational resources while Northstar's owners retain significant ownership.

Redwood Services announced a partnership investment in New Jersey-based Guaranteed Service, marking Redwood's nineteenth platform investment. Guaranteed Service founder Helmi Ben Flah will retain a significant minority ownership stake while Redwood provides operational, strategic, and financial support to help scale the company's plumbing, HVAC, and electrical services across New Jersey.

Legacy Service Partners (LSP), a Tampa-based home services platform, has partnered with and acquired NJ Pipe Doctor, a Woodbridge Township plumbing, heating, and cooling services provider. Owner Ray Reyes will continue to manage the local team as the deal strengthens LSP’s presence in northern New Jersey as an add-on to its platform.

Punctual Pros, a leading operator of One Hour Heating & Air Conditioning, Benjamin Franklin Plumbing and Mister Sparky Electric, has acquired Horvath Home Services, expanding its footprint into Ocean and Monmouth Counties in Central New Jersey. The deal is Punctual Pros' first out-of-state acquisition since the company was acquired by Broad Sky Partners earlier in 2024 and is intended to drive mid-Atlantic geographic expansion and operational synergies.

Sila Services, a home services platform, has acquired Allied Experts, a Cherry Hill, New Jersey-based provider of HVAC, plumbing, and home performance solutions. The acquisition expands Sila's presence in New Jersey and adds Allied's home comfort and energy-efficiency capabilities to Sila's platform.

Research Products Corporation (RPC), the parent company of AprilAire, has acquired EWC Controls Inc., a family-owned manufacturer of HVAC zoning controls based in Englishtown, New Jersey. The acquisition expands RPC/AprilAire's product capabilities in zoning solutions for residential (and commercial) indoor air quality markets and aims to better serve customers and employees through complementary product lines.

Leo Facilities Maintenance (Leo FM), a facilities maintenance platform backed by Orion Group and Alpine Investors, has partnered with RSM Facility Solutions, a Paramus, New Jersey-based commercial facilities maintenance provider. The transaction — Leo FM's tenth industry investment — expands Leo FM's national service capabilities for multi-site commercial customers across the U.S. and Canada; Stout advised RSM and Morrison & Foerster advised Orion.

Thompson Street Capital Partners portfolio company Len The Plumber has acquired Russo Bros. & Co., a residential HVAC, plumbing, electrical and indoor air quality services provider based in East Hanover, New Jersey. The deal is an add-on to expand Len The Plumber’s service footprint into northern New Jersey; co-owner Matt Russo will remain to run the business while co-owner Mark Russo will transition out and retire. Terms were not disclosed.

Service Logic, a Warburg Pincus portfolio company, acquired Atlantic Cooling Technologies and Services, LLC; the transaction closed on January 17, 2019. Akerman LLP advised Atlantic Cooling Technologies on the sale as Service Logic expands its HVAC/mechanical services platform.
