King Risk Partners has affiliated Albany-based Ten Eyck Group, an independent insurance agency with over 120 years of history, to deepen its presence across New York and the broader Northeast. The move — executed by the PE-backed King Risk Partners platform — is intended to expand local personal and commercial insurance offerings while preserving Ten Eyck Group's client-focused service model.

Marsh McLennan Agency (MMA), a business of Marsh, has acquired Robinson & Son, LLC, a Hudson Falls, New York-based insurance agency specializing in the maritime industry. All employees of Robinson & Son, including Co-Founder and Agency Principal James Robinson, will join MMA and continue to operate from their existing office; terms were not disclosed.

Jewelers Mutual Group has acquired EventGuard, an event and wedding insurance program that previously operated as a division of Indemn. JM Insurance Agency Partners will operate the program through carrier Markel Group Inc., enabling Jewelers Mutual to expand its insurtech capabilities and offer event liability and cancellation coverage.

Lawley, an independent family-owned insurance and wealth management firm, announced that Witkin Scott Associates has joined the Lawley organization effective January 1, 2026. The merger gives Witkin Scott access to Lawley’s broader resources and market opportunities while preserving the agency’s local presence and client relationships; all Witkin Scott associates will join Lawley and relocate to Lawley’s Buffalo, New York office.

Peloton Capital Management has made a strategic minority investment in Starfish Specialty Insurance, a New York–based managing general agent (MGA). The capital will support Starfish’s rapid scaling plans and position the company to pursue strategic acquisitions while keeping the founding team as significant stakeholders.

LNC Partners, a middle-market private equity firm, has completed a strategic growth investment in Bennie Health, a New York–based employee benefits broker and HR-focused technology platform. The capital will be used to accelerate Bennie's growth, expand its employee-facing technology, and support strategic M&A initiatives.

ALKEME Insurance, a Top 25 national brokerage backed by GCP Capital Partners, has acquired Gotham Brokerage Co., a New York–based agency specializing in condominium, co-op and renters insurance across Brooklyn and Manhattan. The deal expands ALKEME's Northeast footprint and personal-lines capabilities while allowing Gotham to retain its hands-on service model with access to ALKEME's resources and technology.

JAB Insurance has completed its acquisition of Prosperity Life Group from Elliott Investment Management. Prosperity — which serves roughly one million policyholders and manages nearly $30 billion in assets — will become a foundational part of JAB Insurance as the buyer seeks to build a global life insurance platform and expand its capabilities.

Morgan Stanley Expansion Capital provided $40 million in growth equity to Cover Whale Insurance Solutions to accelerate investments in its technology platform, analytics, and product expansion. The financing converts Morgan Stanley's prior structured debt into an equity partnership as Cover Whale scales its telematics-driven commercial auto insurance MGA, which reported $133 million in gross written premiums year-to-date and is on track for $277 million for the full year.

ALKEME, a Top 35 insurance brokerage headquartered in Ladera Ranch, California, has acquired IBS Group, a Plainview, New York-based full-service insurance and risk management firm. The acquisition expands ALKEME's East Coast footprint and adds IBS Group's property & casualty, benefits consulting and risk management capabilities to ALKEME's national platform.

Patriot Growth Insurance Services has partnered with E.T. Clauss & Co., a fourth-generation, family-owned insurance agency based in Buffalo, New York, to expand Patriot's legal professional liability capabilities nationwide. The deal brings Clauss & Co.'s deep expertise—serving more than 800 law firms—into Patriot's partner network and aligns the agency with Promark Partners to strengthen offerings in Western New York.

King Risk Partners, a Gainesville, Florida-based insurance brokerage, has acquired Cameron Group, Inc., an independent insurance agency in Nanuet, New York. The deal expands King Risk Partners' footprint into the New York market and brings Cameron Group's personal and commercial insurance clients into King Risk's platform.

CRC Group has acquired ARC Excess & Surplus, LLC, a top-five specialty wholesale insurance distributor headquartered in New York. The deal adds ARC's management and professional liability expertise, more than $1 billion in annual premium and six U.S. offices to CRC's specialty platform, strengthening CRC's ExecPro practice; funds managed by Stone Point Capital were the majority equityholders of ARC and were advised by Insurance Advisory Partners LLC.

Integrated Specialty Coverages (ISC), a KKR-backed program administrator, has acquired TravelInsurance.com, a leading U.S. travel insurance comparison marketplace. The deal will integrate TravelInsurance.com's consumer-facing platform and carrier relationships into ISC's technology, analytics, and specialty insurance distribution capabilities to accelerate growth and expand ISC's product offerings.

Rhino and Jetty — two U.S. pioneers in security deposit insurance — have merged to form the largest security deposit platform in the U.S. rental housing market. The combined company will operate from New York, consolidate partnerships with insurers such as AmTrust and Fortegra, expand its suite of move-in solutions, and accelerate growth with senior leadership and board changes.

Renaissance, a Chicago-based network of independent insurance agencies, has acquired the agency network business of Consolidated Insurance Agents Inc. (CIA), a Buffalo, New York agency group whose 23 member agencies represent $47 million in premium. The deal expands Renaissance's footprint into the Mid-Atlantic region and gives CIA members access to Renaissance's market access, placement services, technology and service resources.

Bishop Street Underwriters, a RedBird Capital Partners portfolio company, has acquired the Transactional Liability unit of Ethos Specialty, adding Representations & Warranties and Tax insurance capabilities to its platform. The Ethos Transactional team will remain in place and continue working with most of its existing capacity providers; financial terms were not disclosed.

ALKEME, a Top 35 full-service insurance brokerage, has acquired Sarrica Insurance Group, a Franklin Square, New York-based independent insurance agency. The deal expands ALKEME’s footprint in the Northeast and adds specialized property & casualty expertise, including high-net-worth personal lines, real estate/condo association coverage, contractor and automotive repair industry capabilities.

Highstreet Insurance Partners (HSIP) has acquired H.G. Ellis Agency, a Camden, New York-based insurance agency. The deal adds three locations and 11 employees to Highstreet's Northeast region; James Hutchinson will oversee the integration. Terms were not disclosed.

Ryan Specialty has completed the acquisition of the Property & Casualty (P&C) MGUs owned by Ethos Specialty Insurance, LLC from Ascot Group Limited. The acquired P&C MGUs will join Ryan Specialty Underwriting Managers (RSUM); Ethos' Transactional Liability MGU remains with Ascot.

NCD, a Dallas-based provider of supplemental health insurance products, has acquired Tenure Health, a New York City–based innovator focused on Medicare benefits and product development. The deal brings Tenure’s product innovation and provider partnership capabilities into NCD’s portfolio to accelerate new supplemental health and Medicare-focused product offerings; Tenure founder Bret Voith will join NCD as Chief Strategy Officer.

NSM Insurance Group, a specialty insurance provider headquartered in Conshohocken, Pennsylvania, has acquired ISO Student Health Insurance, a New York–based brokerage and plan administrator focused on health and travel insurance for international students. The acquisition expands NSM’s portfolio of travel and student insurance brands and leverages ISO’s direct-to-consumer digital enrollment platform and university distribution relationships to accelerate growth.

The Zebra has acquired Marble, a 2020-startup that enables consumers to upload and manage insurance policies and receive tailored insurance offers. The acquisition brings Marble’s team and technology into The Zebra to expand consumer features — including policy uploading, a virtual insurance wallet, and automated shopping — and Marble CEO Stuart Winchester will join The Zebra as a VP.

NFP, an Aon company, has acquired The Morley Agency, Inc., a personal and commercial property & casualty broker based in Southampton, New York, to expand its personal risk and commercial P&C presence on Long Island. Morley Vice President Morley Quatroche Jr. will join NFP and report into NFP’s Private Client Group in the Northeast region.

MRI Software has acquired New York City–based Insurent, a leading lease guarantor provider that helps renters qualify for apartments by acting as an institutional guarantor. The acquisition brings Insurent's lease guarantor capabilities into MRI's resident insurance and fraud-mitigation offerings and will be integrated into the MRI Living suite to expand risk-protection products for multifamily property owners and brokers.

Marsh McLennan Agency (MMA), a subsidiary of Marsh McLennan, has acquired AC Risk Management (ACRM), an independent commercial lines insurance brokerage based in Melville, New York. ACRM’s employees, including CEO Matt Avellino, will remain at the Melville office as MMA expands its commercial lines and construction-focused insurance capabilities in the Long Island region.

Stewart Information Services Corporation has acquired All New York Title Agency, Inc., a White Plains-based boutique title company specializing in affordable, supportive and senior housing transactions across New York State. The deal strengthens Stewart's National Commercial Services presence in New York and creates a platform to expand its National Affordable Housing services.

Protective Life Insurance Company, a U.S. subsidiary of Dai-ichi Life Holdings, completed the acquisition of ShelterPoint Group, Inc., a provider of statutory disability, paid family and medical leave, and medical gap insurance products. The deal, in which ShelterPoint was owned by Eos Partners, adds a new employee benefits business line to Protective and expands its product offering and customer base across state-mandated leave markets.

Relation Insurance Services acquired the assets of Elite Insurance Agency, Inc., effective April 1, 2024. Elite Insurance — a Brooklyn‑based agency led by owner Yechiel Bromberg, who will continue to manage the office — becomes part of Relation as the firm expands its geographic footprint; terms were not disclosed.

NFP has acquired the assets of SDN Insurance Agency from Financial Institutions, Inc., expanding NFP's presence in the Buffalo and Rochester markets and strengthening its commercial P&C and benefits capabilities in Western New York. Bill Gallagher, president of SDN, will join NFP and report to Mike Walsh as part of the integration.

Risk Strategies, a national specialty insurance brokerage, has acquired Pace Professional Services, Ltd., a Garden City, New York-based firm specializing in professional liability coverages for certified public accountants and law firms. Terms were not disclosed; Pace — founded in 1992 by Kenneth Gross — will add CPA-focused professional liability, cyber liability and employment practices liability expertise to Risk Strategies’ professional liability practice.

Hub International Limited has acquired the assets of Onecap Services LLC, SATS, LLC (d/b/a Preferred Services Group), and affiliate LYNLY Health Insurance Agency, LLC, expanding its commercial insurance and employee benefits capabilities in New York. The principals Carey Gruenbaum and Peter Lefkowitz and their teams will join Hub Northeast; financial terms were not disclosed.

Risk Strategies has acquired Hugh Wood Inc. (U.S.) and Hugh Wood Canada Limited, the North American operating entities of H.W. International B.V., expanding its retail brokerage presence in Canada and strengthening specialty capabilities in marine, fine art, and complex commercial lines. The acquisition follows a strategic review and sale process by HWI B.V.; terms were not disclosed and TAG Financial Institutions Group acted as sell-side advisor.

KKR & Co. Inc. has closed its previously announced transaction to acquire the remaining 37% of The Global Atlantic Financial Group, bringing its ownership to 100%. Global Atlantic will remain led by its existing management team and operate under the Global Atlantic brand as a wholly‑owned subsidiary of KKR, enabling closer collaboration to realize identified synergies and expand capabilities across insurance and investment solutions.

Aon plc agreed to acquire NFP, a leading middle-market insurance broker and benefits/wealth advisor, from funds affiliated with Madison Dearborn Partners and HPS Investment Partners for an estimated $13.4 billion. The deal will be funded with $7.0 billion in cash and $6.4 billion of Aon stock, with NFP operating as an independent but connected platform under Doug Hammond and expected to close subject to regulatory approvals in mid-2024.

Risk Strategies, a national specialty insurance brokerage, has acquired Robert Alan Agency, a New City, New York–based full-service retail insurance agency. The acquisition (terms undisclosed) expands Risk Strategies’ presence in Rockland County and the upstate New York region and enhances its personal and commercial lines capabilities.

Hub International Limited has acquired the assets of Creative Business Solutions Group Inc., an employee benefits firm based in Melville, New York. The Creative Business Solutions team led by President Jason Anker will join Hub Northeast as part of Hub’s strategy to expand its employee benefits capabilities and regional footprint; terms were not disclosed.

Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. acquired Queensbury, New York–based Hughes Insurance Agency, Inc.; terms were not disclosed. Hughes will join Gallagher Agency Alliance and its principals Linda Abodeely and Joe Koncikowski and their team will continue to operate from their current location under Gallagher's Global Small Business practice.

Risk Strategies, a national specialty insurance brokerage, has acquired Prince Associates, Inc., a multi-line retail insurance agency based in Hicksville, New York. The acquisition (terms not disclosed) expands Risk Strategies' commercial lines and risk management capabilities and brings Prince Associates' clients and services into the Risk Strategies platform.

World Insurance Associates LLC acquired the business of Hamond Safety Management LLC, a Syosset, New York-based safety group manager specializing in workers' compensation for woodworking, construction and plumbing/HVAC industries. The acquisition expands World’s capabilities in workers' compensation and safety group management; financial terms were not disclosed.

Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. acquired Mineola, New York-based Rosenzweig Insurance Agency, Inc.; terms were not disclosed. Rosenzweig will operate as part of Gallagher Agency Alliance and will remain in its current location, enhancing Gallagher's small-business property/casualty and employee benefits capabilities.

Alera Group, a national insurance and financial services firm based in Deerfield, Illinois, has acquired Brio Benefits, an employee benefits and retirement plan consulting firm headquartered in New York. The Brio team will remain in their existing roles and the acquisition is intended to strengthen Alera Group's employee benefits capabilities and deliver expanded resources to clients; terms were not disclosed.

Velocity HoldCo, the holding company for Velocity Risk Underwriters, acquired a majority stake in Insight Risk Technologies, a technology-focused Builder's Risk managing general agent (MGA). The deal, closed September 18, 2023, adds Builder's Risk capabilities and IoT-enabled loss-prevention tech to Velocity's specialty insurance platform and is being used to accelerate Insight Risk's growth across the US.

Risk Strategies, a national specialty insurance broker headquartered in Boston, has acquired Castle Rock Capacity, a New York City–based property & casualty insurance brokerage specializing in construction, real estate and development. Terms were not disclosed; the deal brings Castle Rock's specialty underwriting and regional expertise into Risk Strategies' national platform.

World Insurance Associates LLC acquired the business of Prism (PRISM Insurance Group) of Cedarhurst, New York effective July 1, 2023; terms were not disclosed.
