IT Services Acquisitions in Rhode Island

Arcfield has completed its acquisition of Rite-Solutions, a Rhode Island–based systems engineering, software development and IT provider serving U.S. government customers. The deal expands Arcfield’s undersea warfare and naval systems expertise to complement its existing nuclear surety and missile engineering capabilities, strengthening the combined firm’s systems engineering and all-domain mission operations for defense customers.

Marco Technologies, a St. Cloud, Minnesota-based integrated technology services provider, has acquired INNOVEX, a copier/printer and business IT services provider with locations in Lincoln, Rhode Island and Norwood, Massachusetts. The acquisition expands Marco's East Coast footprint into Rhode Island and Massachusetts and brings INNOVEX employees and clients into Marco's national service network.

Praecipio has acquired Gurnet Consulting, an Atlassian-specialized management consulting firm, to deepen Atlassian, DevOps, ITSM, and agile capabilities and expand Praecipio's footprint across the Northeastern United States and Canada. Terms were not disclosed.

Saalex Corporation has acquired Middletown, Rhode Island-based IT services provider Netsimco, a $30 million company, to broaden Saalex's capabilities in aerospace and Department of Defense markets. Netsimco will become a wholly owned subsidiary, its leadership will remain in place and employees will be eligible for Saalex's employee-ownership plan; the deal increases Saalex's revenue run-rate to approximately $100 million.

Stone-Goff Partners has made a growth investment in MojoTech, a Providence-based onshore software engineering and product development firm. Five Points Capital provided growth capital and an equity co-investment to support the transaction; proceeds will fund expansion of MojoTech's delivery team and opportunistic M&A.

NWN Corporation, backed by private equity firm New State Capital Partners, has acquired Exeter, Rhode Island–based Carousel Industries to create a combined national cloud communications and infrastructure services leader with an estimated $1 billion run-rate. The deal expands NWN's capabilities across cloud communications, managed services, networking, security and contact center solutions and significantly increases its geographic scale and customer base.
